Title: Monitors
Post by: musicianurse28 on December 28, 2016, 10:54:06 AM
Question about Studio Monitors.

What would you recommend for an In-Ear or Headphone Monitors for Home Studio use? A pair of Studio Monitors is expensive. I just started taking studio recording seriously.

Thanks

I think for monitoring and mixing, the more "flat" yung output at hindi equalized, the better.

Kung mas malaki ng konti budget mo go for audio technica athm50x!

As of now, I'm using my Marshall Major 2.

Sir, if I'm not mistaken, discontinued na ung m50.

I still dig my marshall. Okay pa ako sa kanya. Almost 4 years na din in service. Papalitan ko din pag nasira na.  :-D

For tracking, use closed back headphones, the Audio Technica M20x or M30x is a good starting point.
For mixing/mastering use open back headphones, a Superlux open back will do.

But if you don't have the budget for both go for a semi open back headphone, I recommend the AKG K120 Studio or the K240.

discontinued or not, its still very good and its still cheap hehehe and it is a proven set for mixing. m50 vs m50x sa tingin ko cable lang naman binago.

4 years is old lalo na kung daily use. i have owned 3 m50s since 2007, nagpapalit ako every 3 to 4 years kasi nawawala na yung highs at nasisira na yung leather plus wala din mabili na replacement ear pads noon.

i will go with the AT MSR7 if i have budget now or hifiman kung tumama sa lotto.

Oh! I tried looking at Lazada. M50x costs 9k and M30x costs 6k OMG! HAHA

Yeah 4 years is old and yeah daily use sa loob ng bus habang nabyahe connected sa music player.

Will try to look for pre-owned/2nd hand  M50x. Baka sakaling afford.

Thanks sa suggestion.

M30x is 3485 nung nag sale sa JB. :)
