Which is a better buy - Sonor Force 3007 or Gretsch Catalina Maple?

Big nyo sabihin may quality issues din ang mga Sonor?  Sale ngayon sa JB up to June 1 so yung Catalina Maple na 75K, 54K na lang.

Just want to confirm or clarify, hindi ba more or less 60K lang and Retail price ng catalina maple?

If you're going for sound, wait for our new album to come out... We're recording it using the Fernando drums... You'd be shocked to find out that a Fernando did those beats. Birch shells sound awesome in recordings. And for the price compared to Gretsch or Sonor, you would have enough money left to get a complete set of Remo heads and 2-3 hi-end Zildjian Cymbals or 1 cymbal, a Gretsch Renown Maple Snare and a Gibraltar pedal!

But kung porma habol mo, by all means... Go for the Gretsch or the Sonor... Maganda rin naman tunog ng mga ito. But in terms of practicality, the new Fernandos have come a long way in looks, quality, and sound... In fact, the wood used in the new Fernandos are the same ones used in the Gretsch Catalina Birch series.

That's why I'm so proud of my Fernandos right now... And I stand by my product because I believe in it...

Hehehe... sorry kung OT... Endorser mode lang ako... But if you want a discount on the Fernando Drums, just PM me... or the Gretsch, Sonors, or even DDRums in that matter...

Sir Din's Bass Drum has 10 lugs. Ala pa ko nakikitang ganun sa mga stores, puro 8 lang. The white in the picture only has 8. Saka magkaiba tuning lugs. Look at the white kit, then look at Din's. Yung sa kanya parang DW style. So custom made ba talaga Sir Din?

Ewan ko pero yung Summer Sale page sa website 75K nakalagay (may kasamang ZBT 4pc). Pero sa original list 55K lang sya (no cymbals ata yun). So siguro parang yung discount mo sa promo e yung cymbals na.

I don't think this is custom made. My particular kit was for sale and on display at JB MOA... I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. Kaya itong kit yung pinili ko. This is actually from the first wave of new-gen Fernando Drums that came out last year. My kit and the 1st wave was based on PDP drums. Hence, some similarities between the two brands. The new ones now, look more like Gretsches above anything else...

And yup... It has 10 bass drum lugs... on a 20" kick! I myself was surprised to see this... You only see 10 lugs on a 20 on hi-end kits! And it is deeeeep too...

I'm even more excited to see what Fernando has coming out in the future...

So, are you interested in a Fernando? If you want to buy a white marine pearl kit, I can have it delivered to any JB Music outlet of your choice... hehehe

Hehe, lakas nyo sir ah? Thing is, kulang pa budget. At least with all the info I have now, I can make an informed decision later on when finally purchasing a kit. I'm definitely gonna consider the Fernandos. Especially the one with white finish. Weakness ko talaga white sa drums. Ang linis tingnan.

Price is 75K with cymbal package. Pero dahil promo, 54K na lang. Pero kung kukunin mo without the cymbal package, malamang mga 40K nga. May Renown Maple na rin sa JB! 121K! OMG!

so, sino na po dito ang may sonor 3007? Nag-iisip din ako kung gretsch catalina maple or sonor 3007. Kamusta naman ang performance ng sonor 3007? Maraming sumagot na go for gretsch, gusto ko po sanang makarinig dun sa mga owners ng force 3007.

Ok nga ung gretsch catalina maple kasi may libreng isang tom pa... pero in terms of tunog, alin dito sa dalawa ang mas bagay sa funk / rock / fusion and maybe sometimes dance / drum and bass type of music (layo ng difference ng genre no? )

Not considering the price (since they're marketed as entry level maples from both sonor and gretsch), alin ang mas pipiliin nyo?
