My first guitar (like a lot of you) was a Lumanog Classical which my parents forked out P150 in the very early 80s. It lasted me until 1993 when someone borrowed it and was not returned to me.
My second guitar was a pirated Fender Strat (Raon) I got it as a Christmas gift in my 3rd year high. That guitar was with me for 8 years.
Then came my first decent guitar, a Washburn MG40. Sold it after modifying with different pickups, Buzz Feiten mod, DiMarzio Clip Lock and a different Floyd Rose type bridge. Had that guitar for 11 years
Then I had my first real Strat the Sunday after 9/11 (9/11 was a Tuesday). It is now refretted, shielded, pickups replaced with a 57/62 pickups and replaced the strap buttons with Schaller Strap Locks.
Then 2 years later I got my Burns Brian May. Ordered it from England and shipped it to Shanghai were I was gigging. It is refretted, neck re-aligned, and modified with Schaller Strap Locks.
3 years later, I bought a Valencia Electric Classical, unmodded to this day
Christmas Eve on that same year, a very good friend of mine gave a Jackson DK2 Superstrat as a Christmas gift. I modified it with DiMarzio Clip Lock, fretboard re-glued, sanded and refretted by Micsis - BRILLIANT JOB I MUST SAY!
Still a year later, when I had a surplus in funds, I purchased a RJ Les Paul standard. The tuning keys were replaced and the strap buttons was replaced by Renegade Strap and Strap Lock (much like a Schaller)
So I had 8 guitars in my whole life.
