Are you a 14", 16" or 18" floor tom person?

Given the chance that you would have only one floor tom in your kit, what size do you prefer?

14" diameter?
16" diameter?
18" diameter?

and if so, do you like a hanging tom as your floor tom or you want the more cannon-like 3-legged floor tom?

for mounted floor tom my preference is 14x11
- the tone is low enough, it even sounds like a 16 legged flr tom.
- the weight is just right, because 16 would be to heavy for mount.

for legged floor tom, i prefer 16x14
- looks cooler, sounds bigger, the sustain is just what it supposed to be.
(14 is kinda awkward for legged floor tom, especially when you try to roll from 10->12->14. you'll feel that there is a gap. also 14 fell short on sustain and low tone..)

I've always had a 16", so if I only had one, this would be it. But I've played an 18", and I'd really want it for a second FT.

currently using 12 and 13 rack toms as floor tom...

Actually Sonor 14" na Phonic hanging tom yun. Pero ngayon may 14x11 Mapex hanging tom na rin na expansion for the kit.

same with you guys, i only have 16in 8lug floor tom right now, ok na ako, di rin magkakasya sa bahay pag nagdagdag pa pagagalitan nako...but imagining an 18in beside the 16 would be nice, one more thing to hit  ! also, to narrow the tone gap with the bass

pero best padin 16" to 18"
