Nice! Where did you buy/order the new mounts, and how much did it cost you?

I'm thinking the same for my Superstar toms, though it's at the least of my priorities right now.

order yan from drumshopmanila.
kung gusto mo ipimp ng onti yung superstar mo then this is one way to do it.
mejo ang sama kasi ng dating nung black na mount. kaya pinachrome ko tapos binilhan ko na lang ng new version ng starcast at 5k each at the most (not including the hoops)

dati hindi ako nahirapan umorder ng 8 saka 10 na tomtom, 3 months nga lang kasi gagawin pa yung toms.

Mga brod yup nagtaas ang prices ng TAMA products dahil nagtaas ang yen sa japan... Sensya na po mga kapatid ngayon lang ulit ako nakapagpost dito dahil sa new obligation ko as branch manager dun sa Branch namin sa Sm north edsa... As of now im still figure it out kung papano namin ito maibababa... Ika nga hindi pa tapos ang boxing... KAya lang medyo matatagalan ang pagbaba... Pero for sure hindi na sya katulad ng dati presyo... Dahil nagtaas ang talaga ang Yen... anyway magiging madalang nalang ang post ko dito ngayon dahil sa baka bitawan ko na ang Tama specialist to become a full pledge branch manager ng audiophile... Pero hindi ko kayo iiwan tutulong parin ako sa nyo mag-update if i can and if i have time.... Maraming salamat sa mga tumangkilik ng TAMA... Maraming salamat sa nyo... available ba ang tama metalworks snares dito satin? nag-plaplano kasi akong ilagay yun sa wishlist ko para pag-ipunan, gusto ko yung 13x6.5.

oo pearl joey jordison snare ang equivalent snare nun, pero ayoko kasi nung jj kasi 1) napapangitan ako sa tribal decals niya at 2) hindi ko trip slipknot pati si joey jordison.

Ang nakita ko Metalworks na 13x6.5 and 14x6.5. Yung 13 mga 10k plus tas yung 14x6.5 13k. No case though...

BP? black panther? haha di pa ata yun kaya ng budget ko. pero titignan pa. long-term purchase narin kasi to, iilan nalang "must-buy" ko sa wishlist. una 18" china, 2nd snare na siguro. nakapag-decide narin ako na maple nalang, kahit mas mahal, mas versatile kasi.

hindi discontinued. lahat lang nilagyan ng cobra coil. yung mga walang cobra coil ang effectively discontinued.

anyway may maganda dapat ako ipopost kaso nawalan ako ng gana dahil sa server ng philmusic. laging error, tas pag sinubukan mo ipost uli, i "already submitted this post" daw. eh wala naman lumabas.

totoo? naguguluhan na kasi ako, last week may nabasa akong comment sa youtube na discontinued daw, na curious ako, tas nag google, ayun iba ibang opinion lumabas.

ayoko kasing maging obsolete yung ic, and chain driven pedals in general. according to jason bittner (via his forum), nakukulangan daw siya sa power with axis pedals (and maybe direct drive pedals in general?). yun siguro ang rason kung bat marami parin naka chain drive, kahit may direct drive (especially people using dw 9000's, purportedly equal to direct drive in speed, but does not compromise power). wala lang.

yep may IC's pa rin sa namm booth ng tama e. tsaka di nila ididiscontine ang IC nang walang kapalit, lalo na ngayong naglabas ang pearl (at ang yamaha) ng mga bagong pedals.

actually direct drive would give more power kasi mas direct transfer of energy from foot to cam. ewan, basta mas gusto ko pa rin ang chain drive. di ko trip ang feel ng direct drive nung nakasubok ako. di lumalaban sa paa e, tanggap lang ng tanggap. there's smooth (IC, Elims), and then there's too smooth (axis, tsaka malamang yung demon drive)

eto yung panalo sa tama sa namm this year...

(again, mga sampung beses ko sinubukang ipost ito bago lumabas. hassle talaga server ng philmusic. humaba lang sa one line yung ipopost mo, pahirapan na)
