One band/artist that influence you to sing or play musical instrument (eg. guitar, bass, drums etc.)
Meaning yung genesis mo sa pagkahilig mo sa musika.

My first encounter with loud music we all come to know as rock/metal was Guns N' Roses. I was just doing air guitar at the roof of our house when I was in my first year of high school while playing the song "Nightrain" and "November Rain" in my head. Never really thought to become a (sloppy) guitarist. Then came Megadeth and Metallica where it really pushed me to pick up an old acoustic guitar which was borrowed from my brother's friend. So I think it was Metallica that inspired me to learn and play the guitar (still sloppy after all these years). That's also the reason why I don't know how to play some of the basic chords kasi puro power chords and riffs lang ang natutunan ko hahahahahaha!!!

GNR, all that 90's rock STP etc. When I started working as a musician, I started listening to all sorts of music from Freddie Aguilar to Musiq Souldchild and learned to embrace it. In my free time I still play and listen to my roots which is rock. EVH right now. :)

band - the beatles and nirvana.
musician - charlie watts (rolling stones) and raimund marasigan (eraserheads) - these two are the epitome of "meat and potatoes" drummers...nothing fancy, basta yung bagay lang sa tugtugan. of course i still idolize the more technical drummers, but as a musician, my style probably resembles these two the most...

Artists and bands that I heard in the 90's. Nag-peak or nag-decline man sila nung 90's. From glam to metal to alternative to punk to grunge to dream pop and world music. Siguro dahil ito yung teen-age and formative years ko.

yah! but loving JSB is a big thing! baroque music is something I cant chew! only music major people I know can dig JSB.

Well for me, some music are not meant to be chewed and digested,some music are meant to be revered as a moving form of inspiration. I don't think I have to understand counterpoints and harmonies to appreciate the carnal effects of his music,and that is something that I want to emulate with my own take of it. Musicians often are so full of themselves that they always forget that they were once listeners.

that is why my reaction was WOW! because im really curious about people (not the music) digging classical music, and I have much respect to them.
oh well, im not into it, but that doesn't mean the door is closed, I maybe sometimes listen to some.
