I saw Steve Vai last December here in Sydney with Dweezil. It's not a vai concert but a tribute concert to the late Frank Zappa (Zappa Plays Zappa). Steve Vai showed up in the middle till the end of the concert. My eyes were glued to his hands and evo's fretboard, stupid me, I forgot to even take a picture. What's amazing with Vai is that he can pull off any note, any squeal, any noise and still would sound like he really meant to play it.
I was also able to test a Jem20th in Ottawa Canada last year. It's not that great IMO. It's like an RG with an acrylic body and a monkey grip, it has the same feel like an rg2550. Maybe a bit heavier. But it's a Vai guitar
