ano po ba talaga ang genre ng mga eheads sa wikipedia sabi nila rock alternative yung rythm namin na die hard fans talaga Pop alternative daw...ano masasabi niyo?

Don't rely too much on wikipedia. The information can be edited by anybody there.
But wiki says," Their music is very diverse, working both in the underground and mainstream scenes of the Philippine music industry. By fusing different musical styles, such as alternative, pop, rock, reggae, and synth rock, the Eraserheads helped change the sound of Pinoy rock."

 For me it's alternative rock.

ang alam ko eh malaki influence sa kanila ng beatles na may pagkaballad at pop ang mga kanta..

hindi kasi ganon kaingay at kakapal ang tunog ng eheads para masabing rock..

pop  sya..may pagkaalternative lng..

the point is we shouldn't give a [gooey brown stuff] about genres anymore. music is music. music can be bad or good. period.

but if all your genre debates can get rid of sam milby forever, debate away.

Yeah, to discuss things that aren't useless.

(It's just my opinion that there are many threads that are a waste of time. I'm just saying, I'm not trying to force anyone to stop posting or whatever.)

nagtatanong lang naman yung threadstarter kung ano genre ng eraserheads. I guess genres still matter. Kunwari may nagsabi na ang eraserheads ay blues.. o edi nagresearch yung threadstarter about blues, tapos nagaral ng nagaral about blues. Paano nya makukuha yung tunog ng eraserheads dun? anyway, since dati pa yung eraserheads mahirap talaga malaman genre nyan dahil hindi pa ganun nagre-rely yung mga tao sa mga genre. pero para sa akin, siguro pop rock. pero hindi pa rin talaga.. kung papakinggan mo lahat ng songs ng eraserheads, malalaman mo na ang daming tunog e. may folk, reggae, hiphop (oo meron, teka.. di ko sure kung hiphop o rap pero ang naiisip kong example e superproxy hehe), blues (nako, ang dami), pop (mas marami!),pop-punk (back 2 me?), jazz (ganjazz? hehe)..

In fact.. nowadays, genre is a big factor why we musicians play. Kaya nga sa pinoy musician fanforums section, iba't ibang genre yung nakalagay e.  :lol:

op kors mahalaga ang genre bilang paglalagay ng kaayusan sa mga bagay-bagay. PERO sa tingin ko, yung pagpupumilit na ikahon ang Eraserheads sa iisang genre ay pointless. siguro kung ang basehan lang yung mga singles nila, pasok talaga sa Pop Rock genre. malamang tapos na ang usapan doon. pero hindi eh. pag pinakinggan mo yung buong discography nila, hindi talaga pop rock. siguro recurrent lang yung pagiging catchy ng mga kanta nila kaya nagiging pop.

dagdag ko sa listahan ni Higad:

Playground (from Carbon Stereoxide) - disco ang tunog nito. electronica.
Saturn Return (from Aloha Milkyway) - rap naman to, bilang impluwensiya ni Raims ang Beastie Boys
Policewoman (from Bananatype EP) - reggae ang tunog

metal lang yata ang di nila nagawa eh.  :-D
