2. hindi naman ganun katamad ang pilipino. marami din namang nagbibisikleta at naglalakad papuntang trabaho, pero ang pinagkaiba lang, yung mga nagbibisikleta samin papuntang trabaho at school, taga malapit lang, no more than 5km ang layo. eh kahit sino ka pa kung kailangan mo tahakin ang edsa, ibig sabihin ang layo ng pupuntahan mo, kakailanganin mo talaga mag public transpo. and IMo hindi tayo likas na tamad, pero likas tayong mga hospitable or pasikat, however you wanna call it. we want to make things easier for our customers. so kung jeep or trike driver ka, sa mali ka magbababa at magpapasakay, at kahit saan ka magto-TODA para convenient sa clients mo. in turn ang clients mo naman, yun masasanay sa convenience mo, at tatamarin na lang.
3. say what you want about PPP and the private sector, but I can't wait for the whole public mass transport system to be fully privatized. yung lahat ng driver at operator may sweldo, may shift, lahat. I don't trust the government with infrastructure, and kahit ano pang private sector labor chuchu ang gawin nila sa mga lowest paid nila I think they'd be better off anyway than they are right now. ang pinakamagandang infrastructure natin ngayon fully private, mind you. di talaga kaya ng gobyerno natin. ang mga tren PPP yan tingnan ang nangyari, pag iniwan ng private sector yan good luck.
medyo malayo na din for most people to ride 5kms to then fro from their destinations. ang problema kasi sa nakikita ko is tipong taga part namin ng boni,
namin ng boni, na walking distance pero tricycle palagi. i think hindi tayo likas na tamad, maybe i put it wrong. let me put it this way - ayaw natin maglakad,
and why would most, may tricycle at pedicab nga naman. when i was in csb, the distance between akic and main building was less than 300 meters
pero even on a good day, naka pedicab ang tao. i for one one, shun trikes kung pwede naman ilakad, to the point na pinagtatawanan ako sa bahay nila
gf kasi nilalakad ko mula plaza ng bayan hanggang bahay nila, a distance of no more than 300 meters, pero sila trike or pedicab.
the day our public transport becomes efficient, will be a day to remember. i used to ride the mrt all the time. ngayon, i just take the bus because ganon din, the
time i spend in traffic vs time spent standing like an idiot in line will be pretty much the same na. or kung di maiwasan, drive.
i'll make an exception though, pag may gig lagi ako may dala oto - hirap magcommute lugging two guitars and a pedal board!
oh btw, i like your point - we're good with customer service. pero i think it has more to do with AYAW natin ng confrontation, at any given time.
let's see, mga jeepney driver. mayron jan mangilan ngilan na hindi papara sa kanto kahit anong dabog ng pasahero, kasi naiintindihan nila na
makakabara sila sa kanto, so they drop passengers a little ways past where they want to get off. most drivers, pagod na, ayaw maabala, ayaw pag sabihan
pasahero, e papara na lang agad.
