thanks, bro! it fits in perfectly to the current cymbal set up that i have. i am biased, though, dahil sa sobrang gusto ko ng tunog nya, siguro kahit pa sheet cymbals ang meron ako sasabihin ko pa rin na it blends in well enough.  :-D

what i like best is that it complements the Z3 ultra hammered china. an in your face, brash, and loud china then biglang a more mellow, darker, and a bit more complex sound naman.

Bubinga Wood Sound = Maple in Steroids

it is!  >:D i believe even sir bagets, at one point, agreed. :-D it's a unique drumming experience for me. naikwento rin ni barabbas yung drum "shootout" daw na nangyari between a bubinga and a maple (di ko na sasabihin anong brands) and let's just say the bubinga is very EQ friendly, if there's even such a term. it favors low to mid tuning, though. it kind of chokes a bit when tuned high, but i rarely tune high anyway so di ko parin pinagtyatyagaang hanapin ang tamang combination ng batter/reso tuning when i want it to sound higher than usual.

I actually asked the audiophile(facebook) about the availability of this specs, but unfortunately they said wala daw. Dunno if wala talaga. nakakita kasi ako sa pearl(target) ng jr series 18"BD, but I really like to have a TAMA kit so I was hoping na meron nga sila sa imperialstar or sa silverstar. Thanks for the info! :-D

Hi guys, I dunno if this has been asked already, I was wondering where can I purchase spare parts for my IC pedals, the left beater holder is cracked.  :-( also the speedo ring thing was also cracked but I had a machine shop to create anew one for me.

Will post a picture asap. But is it possible to just buy spare parts for it?

Thanks in advance.

Short answer. Yes.

The next question "WHERE?" is what makes it difficult...

Check out http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/world/parts/hardware/pedal/index_twin.html and look for your pedal (Note: there are several production batches for each model) and refer to the exploded diagram for part numbers.

It is a LONG SHOT having specific parts readily available locally from Audiophile. It doesn't make business sense to stock parts that have a low probability of selling.

If you're willing to wait (and REALLY WAIT because they get stuff from Tama only periodically within a year), you can request Audiophile to order parts for you.

Other options would be:

1. Check out eBay and other online sites that sell Tama pedal parts.
2. Consider 2nd hand working or defective Tama pedals where you can possibly get spare parts from.
3. Have a machine shop fabricate the part (which you had already done for a certain part).
4. Buy a decent 2nd hand unit (or a new one).

@mokie

Yep I already did that thanks. :D

^ @jobo_ph, yes I have done number 3, with the speedo ring part.

while the left beater holder, they simply "gave up" because its too big i guess :) and can't figure out how to take that part off.

but anyway thanks. I'll just sell it as single pedal I guess (since the right pedal still works).

may bagong entry-level kit na ata ang Tama:

Tama Rhythm Mate.

http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/product/drum_data.php?year=2012&id=9&area=4

pero may Imperialstar pa rin. :?

New Snares as well:

Tama Sound Lab Project.
http://www.tamadrum.co.jp/SLP/index.html

dadating kaya 'to dito satin? i'm not seeing a lot of people with Starphonic snares, so it's pretty interesting how will these new SLP's fare in our market if ever ilalabas man ng Audiophile.

it looks like the swingstar, except for the lugs and bass drum spurs...seems the spurs of the swingstar are better though.
ganyan naman ang tama, they play around with their models year after year, one model will disappear one year, only to reappear after 1 or 2 years...at least with their lower end models...

^inunahan pa nila ang Pearl. ayaw kasing maglabas ng Pearl ng Demon Drive na hi hat stand, e. i guess they thought that the Elims would be enough for us.

anyway, ganda nyan! :) i'd still choose the eliminator, though. :-D
