Sirs/Ma'ams,
I'm a bass player and I have a band with trumpeteers and a trombone player. They didn't have formal training so they just play "by ear". Medyo hirap kaming magkaintindihan with notes. So far, wala naman silang problema sa mga songs na pini-play namin. But when it comes to making new songs, though, I have a hard time figuring out the notes to be used. Uhmmm... Narinig kong iba ang notes ng trumpet/trombone sa gitara/piano. Soooo... Kung pwede po sana, may parang guide ako na tipong:
C for guitar/piano = (X note) for trumpet = (Y note) for trombone
Thanks!
Haha. Please don't bash my post saying: "tamad ka lang mag-aral eh!" Kaka-isip ko lang nun. Haha. Sorry kung "noob" yung post. :-D

Concert Key (piano/guitar ..) Trombone Bb Trumpet ---
Bb Bb (1st position) C
C C D
D D E
E E (1st ) F#
etc...
to make things easy....... ask the Bb trumpet /tenor sax/Bb clarinet players play the note w/c is a whole tone higher from your instrument..trombone should be d same w/ your note...(but there's another way they call their notes..depends on how they were taught..)
example -if you're playing C ask your trumpet player to play D...- your C is tuned with their D, your Bb is their C..etc...
for the trombone...their 1st position should be same as the trumpet's open position.....
email or pm me for more details....
