anybody here tried using boundary mic for kick drum? any opinion

Depends on what you want as sound.  Putting it inside the kick, on the wood side sometimes gives good results.  Look for the sweet spot.  Or combine it with another dynamic mic but make sure you do not encounter phase cancellation problems.

i got audio technica boundary mic U851R & AT871UG. i will tell them to try this dual miking technique on kick pg my mgrent na banda. 1 kick drum mic outside then boundary mic inside w/ reverse polarity maybe that the way to set this up.

try mo yung isa nasa loob, malapit sa beater, depende kung anung tunog gusto nyo,

yung 2nd  naman off center sa  reso head. . ., ito yung nabasa ko at nakikita ko sa iba  :cute:

go for it, I tried with Crown PZMs - got boomy sound - nice compliment to dynamics click sound - but on its own may not be good for modern sound productions.
