Will start....I had been experimenting with different picks in the past and have ended up using a 3mm DADI picks...that thick because i like it when it "glides smoothly" across the strings especially when playing fast phrases..What about you?..

Kahit anong brand basta 1 to 1.5 mm ang thickness.

When i started playing guitars, i tried everything imaginable thickness from different brands and make. i even tried making one from a plastic orion ruler but didn't like it though.

Using a thicker pick, a D'Andrea 1.21mm, initially i felt its a little bit getting used to it especially in attacking the strings so normally i resort to medium (.71mm) or hard from other brands.

Later, i tried again a 1.5mm locally available and got used to it. My only gripe is the material that was used. Its from a recycled plastic i think and it doesn't last long.

Anyways, a JAZZ III from Jim Dunlop is also good, D' Andrea Celluloid is another, and so is the DADI 3mm.

As an answer to the above question, i use whatever i feel i am comfortable with

. Thicker picks = shredding, thin/medium picks = strumming

Cool picks! i have some of em too. I wonder if U have encountered the Jim Dunlop Stubby picks that comes in violet colors. Been looking around different stores in manila lately but couldn't find one.

for all-around duty (strumming / shred):
Ibanez Steve Vai's (1.0mm) - just the right firmness (spaghetti??

), plus, it's still pointy like the Jazz III

kaso mahal ng Vai (P50 each

) kaya balik ako sa Dunlop Jazz III black or Standard size Dunlop Tortex 1.14 (violet), pwede din ung blue (1.0mm)

anyone remembers those 8-peso Alice "zodiac sign" picks?

ayos yung 1.5mm nun!

dunlop tortex sharp 1.35mm or 1.5mm

i play metal and it's kinda hard to tremolo pick when using thinner picks

dati celluloid ng lazer, tumagal sya sakin.

tapos yung mga baong issue, nag bago ata yung material,

kasi nung dati sa gig, pick slide ako ng pick slide, tapos napansin kong parang sumasabit,

pag tingin ko sa pic, may uka na, natunaw ata.

sa mga bagong issue lang ng celluloid ng lazer nangyari, samantalang yung dati, nagtagal sakin, di man lang natunaw,

yun din gamit ko. marami jazz III sa lyric shops. rarely naman sa RJ.

Yes The jazz 3 are nice but i am more into the Jim Dunlop Stubby picks, perhaps U have some info on where i can get em...

ako gamit ko yung .60mm tortex (orange)

i use for everything, from metal to fast licks to strumming.

ewan ko, i found that the faster i can play with thinner picks, the better. wala lang.

DADI 3.0 coz it glides
Dunlop JAZZ III coz it glides and bounces
Dunlop Tortex coz it's readily available and glides as well
ano pa ba? the local ones... coz they're cheap...

big stubby ginagamit ko ngayon,
i used to be a jazzIII user but i lost mine and i was hesitant to replace it coz i heard madali DAW napupudpod yung mga binebentang jazzIII sa mga stores(fake)
