I think early Satch, Gilbert and Vai uses PAF Pros. Fred and PAF Joe are also good combos.  :-)

Yung Washburn PT60 ko may Air Zone sa neck. Great for classic rock riffs.

Yung Epi G-400 ko may Tone Zone sa bridge. Very versatile, parang mas 'woody' and note clarity niya nung nailagay ko siya doon imo.

Still saving up for a Crunch Lab/LiquiFire para sa Ibanez SA ni misis. :-D

nice! i saw on you sig that you use a washburn N1, any plans on putting a dimarzio there? my cousin has a super distortion on his N1, and it sounded awesome!

Kapatid, dati SD JB ang nasa bridge, since two years ago, SD P-Rails na nung naging available na sa public. You'd be surprised at the tonal options, dapat mag-install ng isa pang push pull pot (tulad ng ginawa ko, so dalawang push pull CTS volume pots).

Ang next project ko is bilhin yung SX GG1 STD from a retired studio owner sa Huntington Beach for $125, at lagyan ng 36th Anniversary PAF's.

speaking of SD, meron pa silang triple shot mounting rings for the coil switching options.. then experiment na ng iba pang mods sa other push-pull pots hehe :D

meron akong D-Activator X. grabe napapatapang niya lalo ang distortion! lakas din ng output! and gusto ko rin ang split coil modes niya (inner & outer). "meatyng-meaty" talaga!

Lumabas ang Triple Shot last year, mas nauna ang P-Rails. Anyway, gusto ko yung four tonal options kesa sa tatlo na i-offer ng TS.

Hay, parang gusto ko rin ng Norton/Air Norton para sa isa pang LP copy...

Nice combination sir! :-D Do you have any samples?

I'm an X2N user too! woohoo! It serves me very well (just have to re-tweak again to remove a bit of muddiness though) :-) I love DiMarzio! hehehe

Below is a picture of my red PAF pro's installed on my custom Elegee guitar. I got it through musiciansfriend dot com. In my opinion, the PAF pro is the best reference pickup out there because of its transparency. If you look at the tone guide in the dimarzio website, it's well balanced tonally, clean sounding yet loud enough. So the overall tone will be influenced by the different types of wood used and how your guitar was constructed. Be it bolt-on, neck-thru, etc.

This guitar is leaning towards the brighter sounding side of the tonal spectrum because of the flamed maple top and fretboard, ash body and bolt-on construction. But, it's still warmer than a strat. And the best thing about dimarzio's, they have "solution" pickups to compensate for it if needed.

Dimarzio's rule! I'm currently using FRED as well. I have used the Tone Zone, Humbucker from Hell and HS-2. They all are great and served their purpose. I simply opt for transparency nowadays.
