Dapat pala talaga you should share the same level of passion sa pagbabanda at love for music. Share the same goal. Lagi ko na lang naeexperience ung sa isang banda. Magkakaiba ang level ng passion sa banda. Napaka contagious ng pagiging tamad ng isang band member. Base lang to sa naexperience ko ha.

i would like to emphasize "sucky gigs" lol ... to be honest, i would still be willing to go on if we only had better gigs. we worked hard in writing songs, and i believe we are quite decent. the gigs we get are play for free gigs with hardly any audience. i mean, i dont mind playing for free, as long as it is fun... and fun translates to: playing in front of an interactive crowd, while having a decent PA system (vocals can be heard) and monitors, at the same time getting ample time to sound check.
we do not get those gigs.
then you add that with things like some band members who need to be constantly spoonfed, artistic differences, and half-decent gigs being cancelled cause certain band members would rather be doing something else.
i also hate it when singers forget lyrics, guitar players forgetting song sections and drummers making the same mistakes consistently... while i, the bass player, remember all of them. i mean, its a freaking 6 song set-list... normal bands play 30 songs, so i get royally pissed off when band members forget stuff to a little 6 song setlists, that are originals.
i also hate it when i can book good gigs ... but just cant do it because i cant trust my band to pull it off.
oh well, i guess its time to move on to the next band. i am hoping something that involves pop music, easy to remember songs, and singer/dance based stuff. i wouldnt even mind an acoustic group, as long as we are getting booked.
or perhaps i just need a break cause i have been working non-stop with this band for something like 1 year, and stress is magnifying all the little problems we are having.
