Hi guys! I'm curious if there are any decent stores in Greenhills for lenses? I am going to buy a Nikon AF-S 50mm 1.8g early next year and wala akong idea kung meron bang maayos na mapagbilhan sa GH or ibang stores within QC area kahit used na yung item?
Any recommendations? Wala ako ganung makitang maayos na deal online recently.

May second hand din pero risky.
Ako sa robinsons forum ako bumibili. Hanapin mo yung jeps house of gadget. Online store siya pero ang pickup dun sa robinsons forum. Pwede din naman mag walk-in kaso di sure kung may stock sila sa store nung item mo. Halos hidalgo din ang price nila kaya ok na. I recommend hidalgo pero kung gusto mo less hassle at aircon(haha) i recommnd jeps.

Best bet is the Nikon store somewhere in V-Mall if you're going to buy at Greenhills. I think meron rin sa SM North CyberZone.
For used lenses, I have bought and sold some stuff at TipidPC. While I can vouch for some sellers there (those who are not higher-ranked in feedbacks), yung iba, at times, are overpriced. BUT, you do get value for your money. Ang hassle lang ay yung usual stuff like hindi dumating yung kausap mo, may hidden faults pala, etc... like you would usually find in a b/s forum like that and this site right here.
I also don't suggest buying second-hand lenses/cameras at Greenhills (esp the pseudo CyberZone connecting Shoppesville and V-Mall) most of them are not "qualified" (for a lack of a better term) to sell those items. They do not know what they are talking about. A friend of mine got ripped-off buying lenses there, he had no technical questions to ask and was taken by the sales talk. Sabi ko sa kanya dapat sa Hidalgo na lang or, at least, kasama niya ako. While there was a fault in my friend's lack of knowledge, I am sure that this won't happen in Hidalgo.

Nakita ko na yung site ng jeps house of gadgets thanks! Mukhang competitive nga yung pricing nila and brand new lahat. Almost the same sa ibang online stores like Lazada.
Madalas kasi ang wife ko mamili sa Greenhills so baka sumabay ako minsan just to check out that Nikon store. I am particularly looking for the Nikon 50mm 1.8g prime lens by the way. Was able to test it a few times using my friend's camera so pag sakaling naligaw ako dun sa pseudo Cyberzone area maiiwasan ko ma sales talk :-D
Any particular store sa Hildalgo na kinukunan nio madalas? I'd probably call the store(s) first before ako pumunta. Kelangan ko pa ba dalhin camera body ko pag dun ako kukuha to test the lens or puede na test dun mismo?

mainitin pa kaya ulo ni mang ramon :-D dun ako dati bumi;i ng digicam mas mura kumpara sa henrys yun lang ang init ng ulo. laging galit kala mo nireregla.

1. go to the store early - be the 'buena mano' customer.
2. wear red shirt.

Hanap ako ng tight shot. Nakakalat pa mga files ko nagpalit kasi ako computer. Sa Henry's GH ko na binili yung lens for P8,700+ yata.

Thanks sir! Hindi pa ko naka try ng f/1.4 eh. Napansin ko pag group shots para maging reasonably sharp yung kuha at least f/4 to f/5.6 aperture. Todo aral pa ko sir haha kung ano ano ginagawa ko subject.
For me as a beginner, definitely worth it ang pagkuha ko sa lens.

Pag naka spot kana sir patingin sample shots. Na curious din ako sa f/1.4 ng 50mm kaso medyo labas sa budget ko nung time na bumili ako eh haha.
Ay sir ask ko din pala kung may experience ka sa Tamron lenses? I'm looking at getting the 17-50mm f/2.8 non VC.

Tamron's have good reviews.. Plano ko kumuha ng 18-200mm pamalit sa kitlens pag nagkabudget.

Binili na pala ni misis yung Tamron 17-50mm sa Henry's sa Trinoma to surprise me. Yun nga lang pag dating ng bahay, Canon mount
ang nabigay sa kanya. Ayun bumalik pa tuloy sya. Na double surprise ako. Uy! Andyan na! Uy! Maling mount! :-D

may mga stores ba kayo na alam na nagbebenta ng vintage lens? puro online at delivery methods ang meron eh(soviet camera, manila vintage).
currently eyeing helios primes! gusto ko lang makabisita at makadaldalan yung mga nagbebenta para naman mapa-convert na talaga ako :lol:
