Aside from their cool looks...can Orange Amps deliver? your thoughts on this..since Im kinda Gassing for this this x-mas...haha not familiar with the orange tone..so do enlighten me..this particular model costs about 6000 pesos..is it worth it? I think the micro cube costs the same and it only gives you 2 watts..but this ORANGE amp is such an Eye Candy!!!

Any good or bad experiences with Orange AMps? Overated? Let us know.

i checked out the Tangerine mode on the zoom g3...the overdrive is nice and it does give a sharp bite..pero Im wondering about the clean tone..Im thinking this is the bang for you buck model kasi it has 2 channels..plus a wide array of dsp effects onboard...

Im not familiar with the orange tone..and hoping to hear from experienced users...

I cant check youtube now as my proxy server is down..arghhh!!...

actually If you want more amp sims..pwede din yung Roland Cube 20...

pero of course...nothing beath the vibe and room factor of an Orange..sitting at the corner of your house with some ice tea burst epi beside it...hahaha laglag panty sa mga cool-in the know rocker  chicks..

with regards to your "will it sound on an epi"...for sure naman yan...and youve got the controls to adjust to find your sweet spot...ikaw ba yung nagpost na GAS for an amp this xmas? hahaha...

Marshall MG versus Orange....uhhmmm..palagay ko pareho lang yan..Id rather go with the orange for the coolness factor..hahaha...converation piece kung baga...

"hey ang groovy ni Porkplan!..he rusn his guitar through an ORANGE.. cool grabe" hahahaha

Output:

35 Watts (RMS)

Kung kaya ng budget mo at pag sale JB..why not!! more power the better..pero isipin mo din yung power needs mo...kung home use lang at kung bedroom guitarist ka..ok lang yan..pero in the long run...makikipagjamming ka din...and youll need a stronger amp at least 65 watts...

I remember my dad bought a 65 watt Crate looooonnng ago (EARLY 90's)....up to now gamit ko pa..and kayang kaya niya ang garage band jam kahit basketball court..kaya pa.....so..once lang kami bumili ng amp...and thats it youre set for life...

Pero ang lakas na nitong 35 watts kung backing tracks lang sasabayan mo...hehehe...go buy na!!! hahaha

oonga pala may napansin ako sa 35LDX

3 Band EQ
Footswitchable overdrive (can also switch on front panel)
High and low input
Digital Effects

pero dun sa 20

3 band EQ
Switchable Overdrive
Master Volume
Digital Effects, including reverb, delay, chorus and tremelo
Aux input for Ipod/MP3 etc…
Built-in Tuner

I think the 35 has all the effects of the 20 watt amp din...dont worry about those add on dsp effects...and tuner...

Get an amp that could give you the clean tones you want and the OD you want...be it orange or MArshall or Fender etc...

Though ok na tong Orange for the longjourney to the top...wag ka lang kukuha ng mga no name china na tunog lata...at walang ka persona-personality...eventually youll be getting pedals..so..make sure na kaya ng amp mo dalhin to..you wont be switching to OD that often pag may pedals ka na...so clean tone..lang kakailangan mo...ayos yan..if you can get the 35 get it..pero  if I were you..if you can find a 65 watt amp..para isang bilihan nalang..hehehe..

Ive listened to a few samples and videos...of the orange...lalo sa crush series nila..siguro I prefer more of that fender cleans...eversince naman Ive loved that fender clean tone..kahit sa micro cube ko..naka blackface setting ako lagi..haha VOX too bright and jingling for me...Roland Clean..medyo di ko rin type...ikaw with the orange baka doon masahpe yung sound and tone mo...good luck!

parang ganito ba?

i've never tried the crush series. but if it's anythin like my rocker 30, it's got that mid-dy crunch that cuts through in a jam. no jangly cleans though, but if you like your cleans hairy then you'll love it. it's a very dynamic amp that responds well to pickin nuances. i like how it cleans up with the guitar volume knob too.  the master volume works extremely well, that i use it as a bedroom practice amp even with the baby around.

I dunno about the pix series, but if it's anything like the crush30R,it has nice tight crunch that isn't harsh on the top end. Compared to other analog solid state amps in its category and price range,it has one of the nicest sustaining lead tones. Very liquid and organic.

Hope they improved on the flimsy pots though.

havent tried the 20watt version but the 35watter i did, the cleans isnt the best but its not bad it just has its own sound, overdrive is great again it has its own voicing, it isnt loud as the blackstar ht20 but i could tell the stock speaker isnt the best, tried plugging the thing into another cabinet(bugera 2x12) and it sounded better to my ears, thats what the lineout is for anyway

i wouldnt say orange is overrated each model has a different sound anyway, just like marshall you have different models with unique voicings cant compare a JMD to a MA or MG series of amps
