next project should be an fx loop sa guitar for people like me who put their OD boost after the distortion pedal where its more effective as a volume boost. tas extra controls for dialing in extra dirt and the boost's own tone control. so basically, its a guitar with a built in OD and fx loop.

Hi Guys,

I tested this guitar with the booster last EB--ang lakas and there was no effect on the brilliance. The nuances of the guitar and the Narra body--lumabas pa rin. AND to think the pick-up used are just your average stock pickups....

Jobet magkano ulit yung PUPs?? :-D

  Highly recommended!!!!

6 db is just ryt for solo boosting, kasi in the real world the perception of loudness doubles every 6db increase, so 20 to 28 db increase will be really loud. our ears naturally percieve sound exponentially. galing nyan BAMF realistic ang design at application.

when you can build it right inside your guitar ?

My RJ PRS - Panggatong Really Sya

And there's the low-noise, FET-based 6dB clean booster

True Bypass, switched in and out via a push-pull potentiometer knob

The boards are being manufactured as we speak. It will be hitting the streets soon.

Question lang sir.  Is the boost built-in with the guitar?  I was wondering if the boost was made to increase volume (for leads) but in my case, I do a lot of high gain stuff... so will engaging the boost just mush up the distortion?

Yup. And considering that a guitar signal is about 1 volt p-p, a 28 dB gain will no longer be a clean boost. The battery (assuming 9 volts) will not allow it.

6 db is just ryt for solo boosting, kasi in the real world the perception of loudness doubles every 6db increase, so 20 to 28 db increase will be really loud. our ears naturally percieve sound exponentially. galing nyan BAMF realistic ang design at application.

MISMO! BAMF

Sky;  since this is pre distortion syempre madadagdagan yung saturation mo sa input stage ng pedal mo. syempre kapag sumobra ka naman sa gain noise at loss of detail ang pwedeng mangyari. kaya nga sa palagay ko d best tong booster ni Bamf kasi 6DB lang Just ryt.

Bamf PM mo naman sakin schemes nyan prototype ko pag may time ako, may iba pa kasi siya application bukod sa solo boost, pede cya pang compensate sa long cable runs at saka line driver. DUDE interesado talaga ako sa design mo na yan.

Long cable run ? Actually that's what I did for my Tele and Les Paul...a unity gain current driver. Dali lang, and it only needs 3 parts: 1 FET, 1 10 k resistor and one coupling capacitor.

But for reference here's a FET preamp small enough to fit inside a cable, used to drive long cables.
