daymn! tagal na ako curious sa scalarizer.. I read the first thread na when Sir Rohel told me about it.. its just a matter of time nalang before I finally bring my strat and have it scalarized!  :-o

Dude, being a stratcat, the crystal scalarizer makes all the difference! quack quack quack! and in case it lacks body, the new organicore adds weight, more than three boxes of krispy kremes on the tone! Sweet and phat

I know tokai's are generically on the thin side, though I didn't get to try BAMF's tokai before the scalarizer was installed, there was a happy heftiness to the tone, and lots of air. you can hear it working its magic

what strat you got bro? (self-confessed strat pornographer )

I heard that its indeed the Crystal Scalarizer is the one for the Strat (since I saw someone quoting about the Crystal works best for single coil pups)

I own a 1995 Standard Mexican Stratocaster.. S/N: MN5172929

konting pilit pa!! :-D bibigay na! heheheh im sure mamahalin ako ng strat ko once one of sir bamf's masterpieces is installed!!

Alright!!!  :-)

give it a shot! i'm hunching that your axe may be loaded with ceramic pick ups, and your tone will definitely benefit from having either a crystal for a smoother sparkle, or organicore for air and weight. either ways, the harshness that is attributed to ceramic pickups (i have heard smooth sounding ceramics, btw, but most of the time alnico's air the sweet mags)
will be rounded off by being harmonically corrected. note: it'll still sound open and natural, it's like sharpening a jagged knife... it'll stil cut, but with more precision

cool! hehehe im at it! schedule nalang ang problema! hahaha thanks for the info about this gem  :-D
imma badass!! <funky guitar rift>

Hehehe.

Just finished experimenting on scalarizing a DS-1. After going through the rounds of organicore, graphite (yes there's a new one), crystal and metal, we landed on the metal scalarizer. It added lots of  clarity and aggression to the sound. Pero medyo mabigat ang tunog ng may-ari. Maybe the other types will sound good for blues, classic rock and what not.

Hayaan ko na yung me ari ang mag-review ng scalarized DS1 nya :D

The graphite scalarizer is still in prototype testing. I'm not sure if I'll mass produce it, but i'll make more units to test and play around with and to be evaluated .

It's somewhat a cross between crystal and organicore. It's sparkly but not as sparkly as crystal and warm, but not as warm as organicore. Maybe some guys will like it, maybe not. Bahala na. :D

If you think that's a lot, we're proceeding with the hydracore and the aircore soon.

Hydracore and aircore? goddamn!

BAMF, how much to make that booster preamp of yours?

Can you tailor a mid boost circuit?

Well...we tried the organicore on the DS-1 you saw earlier. It's warm, but it can get muddy at higher gains.

But I've already installed an organicore on my Behringer CS100 and it was warrrm. Next step is to install it on my TS7.

So I surmise from those observations that it works best on a clean or mildly overdriven tone/scenario.

But that's just preliminary. We could learn more things as we go along.

So far the crystal is (in my ears) the best scalarizer for multis. Its still the flattest, crispiest and most versatile variant with the right balance of punch, clarity, warmth and sparkle.

Yes it can be done. They can even be voiced differently, say Fender, Marshall or Mesa. In time, even with massive gain (op-amp circuitry albeit). Pero down the road na muna yun. :D

For example, you can make a marshall in a knob kind of thing?

Hahaha.

All I need is some sort of striaghtforward preamp to get 6db or so of mid boost.

Ala passive to active type thing.

i have an old beat up suckier than sucky Rocker strat-[ice cream] (can i say that here?) guiturd. The pick up to 5 way switch wirings are messed up and it sounds like turd. Really. It's playable ( i have high tolerance for "playability") It just sounds like chewing tin foil. .But I still use it, cause as of the moment, I don't have any other guitar. Can this new techno thingy give at least some life for my guiturd? How much does one cost? And pwede ba isama sa service yung rewiring ng pick up ko? I kinda messed it up.

sir, hehe lang ako nakapag-post dito! :P
anyways, heto ang review ko sa naging 'test' namin nung Friday... (senxa na mahina ako sa english! :P)

na-test ko muna as a standalone pedal, gamit ko yung puting strat dun sa studio... heavy punchy sound pag kaskasan! lalo na pag todo 'yung drive, ganda ng "chug" nya.
ganda rin for soloing, rich talaga sa mids.

then na-test namin as booster (TS9 mode for soloing) with stock HM100, na naka-V timpla... nawawala yung V-ness dahil sa rich mids, tas naka-9 o'clock pa lang 'yung level, sobrang lakas na ng boost na nagagawa niya.

overall, maganda taste niya para sa 'kin, dahil I'm into heavy stuffs (especially hardcore).
