Rode VideoMic
« on: January 22, 2014, 07:18:41 AM »
Guys may naka pag try na ba ng Rode VideoMic / VideoMic Pro / VideoMic Stereo sa dslr niyo? Okay kaya result kung gagamitin namin sa bar? Or even concerts? Or baka may ibang external mic for dslr na mas suited for loud environment based on your experience? Especially sa loob ng bar.

Thanks in advance! :-D

the Rode mics are decent, actually. also check out the Sennheiser MKE400. its really small, and I was quite apprehensive when we first used it, but i was surprised it clearly picked up audio from a couple of feet away

i'd use another recording device though, if you're recording for gigs, like the Zoom H4n. picks up a clean sound if you use it right.

used all of them outdoors. get a windscreen to minimize the noise.

if you think the winds too strong to pick up good audio from what you have... just move elsewhere.
