Ito sir, baka makatulong... My own ear description of electric guitars i've used during worship:
*hollowbody (humbucker) - beefy sound/tone
*standardbody (single coil) - twangy thick sound
*standardbody (humbucker) - silky smooth sound

sa huli, nasa preference niyo pa rin kung anong gagamitin nyong gitara during worship sir considering comfort and tone satisfaction.  What matters is ma express mo heart for worship (ego not included, hehe) using your battle axe..

And as long na na-acquire mo yung gitara mo sa mabuting paraan (di ka nanloko, nagsinungaling, nag nakaw, o kahit ano pang kasalan), ay worthy na yun para gamitin sa praise and worship.

I'm using a strat-type guitar  :) I don't have a close up pic of it so itong pic ko na lang nung college night ipo-post ko hehe

BTW I'm planning to GAS for another guitar quite soon (with the help of my dad), recommendations naman po jan, yung mura lang po  :-D

Gusto ko po sana yung versatile (except a Strat), yung madaling makakapag-adjust sa iba't ibang klase ng tugtugan. at sa totoo lang po nasa Telecaster yung GAS ko ngayon haha since I think it will fit worship music very well. But medyo alangan po ako kasi baka po bumalik yung hand injury ko, wala po kasing forearm contour pag Tele and medyo sharp yung edge. Pero di ko lang din po sure if that will really happen unless maka-testing ako ng Tele hehe (btw haven't played a Tele since birth)

OK sir I will check that one out. Napaka useful nga po talaga ng coil tapping for more tone options. One of my choices nga rin po pala yung 1966 G-400 Pro, may coil tap din po.  :)

Hello po!

Ako po eto:

Epiphone Chet Atkins SST Studio. I run this through a Boss DI-1 straight to the P.A.

Dami na naging issue neto, naka tatlong palit na akong pick up and preamp neto...

Believing for a Godin acousticaster or a Taylor T5 when i retire my chet.

We are blessed!

I'm getting quite uneasy nowadays, as I read about DI box.. Busted bass amp, we tried plugging our bass guitar directly to one of our mic inputs.. Is it really that bad kung hindi kami gumagamit ng DI box?

The main purpose kasi nung DI is to convert a high impedance signal to a low impedance signal. Acoustic Guitars and bass guitars have high impedance "hi-Z" meaning, it has low current, high voltage. Mixers, however, don’t work so well with high-impedance signals from instruments because they have low-ish input impedance. They don’t “like” that kind of signal because, unlike instrument amps, they aren’t designed to easily receive it.

hi brothers..
I often use my Fender Strat...though occasionally I use my SGs..I like the tone and feel of the SG, but of course, due to it's aesthetic condition (horns), I refuse to use it regularly..
what are your thoughts on SGs for Church use?
thank you.

Hi there. Our church's guitarist uses a SX SG :D

ah i think it's more elegant looking tsaka siguro sa cleans ng tele.  :)
it's only my opinion. btw i'm a tele user din. i can say na mas appropriate tlga ang tele sa gnitong genre of music

I've been blessed to use these guitars for praise and worship!

Fender Baja Telecaster

Thinline Partscaster I assembled (Thinline Telecaster Body, Fender Neck, Classic60's Pickups, Gold Hardware)

And a recently acquired Gretsch G5420T

You don't choose the guitar, it chooses you.

If at any point in time you cannot afford a particular guitar, don't play it. If it chooses you, you have to buy it.  If you simply can't beg, steal, or borrow, you will eventually die of a broken heart..

My Squier VM Tele Custom II bought from Yupangco about two weeks ago. So happy with my new gear, sarap gamitin though I'm still adjusting ang tagal ko rin kasing naka Strat-type. My amp is not doing any justice though sa tone ng Tele + P90s  :-(
