Hardware cleaning.

Before:

Here's the bath solution.  (Kita agad yung dumi after 30-45mins, greenish yellow gunk.)

After:

Notes:
1) WD-40 muna, at full strength, for 30mins.  Then I mixed in the lemon oil.
2) After 1 hr total, I used a toothbrush, plain green scouring pad, and 1000 grit sandpaper, in that order, to get the stubborn spots.
3) A small spoon works well to remove saddles on a tune-a-matic bridge.  Also used same spoon to re-seat the saddles.  Remove wire first.
4) Give everything a clean wipedown before re-assembling.

^Isn't WD-40 BAD for chrome plated metals?

I notice sa mga nilalagyan ko ng WD 40 mukhang corrosive sa mga chrome-plated materials.....brass is ok though.

I didn't let it soak for too long in WD.  Lemon oil was also used.  It has its uses, but if you're averse to it, just any mineral oil bath will do. :-)  It might be you applied WD-40 and didn't wash/wipe it off.

Idikit mo sa body (hindi sa tip) ng soldering iron for a short time until it shrinks. Di naman yan natutunaw basta-basta. :)

DIY refret...planning to refret my CV 60s Strat with stainless steel frets myself, any advice on Do's and Don'ts?
I have been researching on this including watching Youtube videos but I'd appreciate your inputs based on first hand experience.

P.S. Do you recommend any specific brand of frets? tools you used? tips and tricks?

I really wouldn't experiment on a brand name guitar for my first run. suggest you practice first on a beater/el cheapo guitar to get the knack of it. Fret work is no walk in the park.

Okay gets.

Most probably po yung middle single coil niyo is not "reverse-wound, reverse-polarity" (RWRP) kaya kahit magkasama sa positions 2 and 4 with the single coil mode nung humbucker, ay hindi sya hum-cancelling.

Anyone here who can mod my Ethos Overdrive pre amp to have an effects loop? The reason I want this is that I want to route my mod/delay/verb effects BEFORE it hits the final buffer going into the output jack. That way, I would have the effected signal in both the non-speaker sim and speaker sim out of the Ethos.

I've given up on Custom Tones because the team hasn't been responsive to my queries around this.

Here's a block diagram of the Ethos and I want the effects send/return tap just before the triangle leading to the output jack and after the active/bypass switch:

Update: Here's how I imagine the mod to be done. Notes:

- FX Send: It needs to come after the active/bypass switch so that the send jack still has a buffered signal when bypassed, and has the clean/OD signal when the pedal is activated. If I am not mistaken the triangles here represent a buffer circuit (Ethos OD is not true bypass).

- FX Return: It needs to come before the output buffer that goes into the non-speaker sim out. By doing this, I am going to get the effected signal (Mod, Delay, Verb ,etc) in the loop into both the non-speaker sim and cab sim out since the cab sim out has a tap after the output buffer.

- It needs to use switching jacks so it'll work without a jack plugged in either send or return.

Help!
