In short, Billy Corgan + Nicole Fiorentino of Veruca Salt = Still worth watching

I'm a big fan of the Pumpkins in the early 90s. I dig them better than any other grunge band dati. Sobra kasing gasgas ang Nirvana dati at sobrang overrated si Cobain sa gitara niya...well at least ang Pumpkins magaling talaga sa gitara dati. Si Corgan at Dave Navarro nga mga guitar heroes ko nung early 90s. May certain attitude problem nga lang si Corgan at yung mga huling albums nila nagpalit na talaga ng tunog at direction...may halong electronica na...

Mas interested ako sa career ni James Iha, siya favorite ko. May bago nga siyang album ngayon e tapos member pa rin siya ng A Perfect Circle.(recording din ng new album) At least si James di papalit-palit ng tunog at hindi nahihiyang magpaka-pop. Si Billy kakaexperiment niya nakakahilo ang direction. Kahit sa pag-resurrect niya ng Pumpkins anggulo pa rin ng bagong sound nila. Sayang si Chamberlin...isa sa mga pinkamagaling na drummer na nagustuhan ko. Sayang hindi ito yung original line-up. Ako na sana ang pinakamasayang tao - reminiscing High School. Anyway parang recording lang to ng mga lumang albums ng Pumpkins. Si Corgan lang naman daw ang dominant sa recording sessions. Kahit pagrecord nga ng bass nakiki-agaw. According yan sa chismis ha

James Iha,Darcy Wretzky and Jimmy Chamberlain are the foundation of SP but I think this new unit of Nicole Fiorentino,Jeff Schroder and Mike Byrne is very tight, definitely a new generation of Smashing Pumpkins featuring Billy Corgan of course. Oceania is a GREAT album!will really make ipon para mapanood ko sila lalo na lahat ng songs from Siamese Dream-era up until Ava Adore.

Kailan kaya irerelease ng Phil Concerts yung Setlist ng The Smashing Pumpkins? Bought tickets na, Gen Ad nga lang. I'll be at Snow Patrol too... Hahahahha sana mag concert din No Doubt, Sugar Ray at Red Hot Chili Peppers. LOL

few days to go! there's a rumor that most of the songs from their setlist will be from the new album oceania. i've been listening to it for a month now. it's way different from their past records but i'm loving it. it's still the pumpkins at their best.

hope the setlist will be the same from rock in rio
