i tried this also, panalo to, pwede din syang pang jazz (smooth na smooth tunog yung tele mo sir naging hollow guitar ang tunog, ang galing  , counrty style din (popping sound), kung baga yung compression nya labas (kung baga nasa harap pa din)tunog ng strings mo kahit mataas na yung compression nya, hindi yung parang kinakain ng compression ang tunog ng bawat strings mo

i had the opportunity to hear jim's pedals and here are my impressions:

d'zound - jim demoed the pedal to me.  afterwards, we listened to some brad paisley songs.  it sounded pretty close to brad paisley's solo sound.  since brad uses a zendrive...you get the picture.

elb mud - didn't get to hear this as much but it's definitely higher gain and on the marshall side of the fence.

tremolo - nice pleasant sine wave tremolo.  very smooth waveform.  no choppy square wave trem here, and i think that's a good thing.

wave booster - this thing seems to have a lot of output.  tried it only up to a quarter turn up and the boost was already quite loud. didn't bother turning it up any further.  when the pedal is engaged, there is no significant change in the tone of the guitar.  you get your signal, only louder.  this seems like a good pedal to push the front end of a tube amp into overdrive.

compross - when this was demoed to me, we got a very nice chicken' pickin' tone without the annoying clicking attack.  i'm certain there are more sounds in the box, but i can easily be happy with the sound i heard.

jim's pedals look sturdy and sound good.  more importantly, i felt jim has the passion for building these pedals.  i think everyone in the market for affordable alternatives to foreign boutique pedals owe it to themselves to check jim's pedals out.

cheers.

sa wakas nakuha ko na din yung D' Zound ko hehe, ayos panalo halos same na ng zendrive na nakita ko sa you tube (hermida), very responsive mga knobs nya, ganda ng dynamics swak pang robben ford, larry carlton, smooth overdrive, mas maganda talaga sya pag low gain lang, hindi naiiba yung orig. tone ng guitar mo at hindi nababasag ang tunog lalo sa bass part, pwede maging mabote tunog ng bass string mo (E,A,D strings) thru Tone Knob ang if you like naman maging bilog yung treble strings mo (G,B,E strings) itweak lang sa Voice Knob, mismo itong gawa nyo sir, panalo sulit sa bayad hehe, i really like also yung pot na ginamit mo, swabeng pihitin hindi mahigpit  :-D Buti na lang nakaabot ako sa D'Zound mo at magiging busy ka an sa mga gigs mo sir  :-) i hope makatry ako ng orig na zendrive para ma A/B test ko, ok lang ba sir? hehe

More mismo pedals to come  :-)

ginblue dzound...

I got mine mga dudes!!!

Well, Im happy to say, boutique ang quality ng performance ng dzound. For now, its the best low gain OD that I have tried.
I think its not for shred, pero grabe mabebenefit mo in terms of expressing your music, well as we know bagay talaga sya sa jazz.

Thanks nga pala sir jimmy sa freebies (oil caps, coffee and kwento's). :-D\
Na appreciate ko yung mga insights nyo about sound, its very different compared to other DIYer and modders. Your tone starts from the guitar, if its
right then pedals should not change it transparent dapat para magfit yung guitar mo sa kahit anong amp. Kung sa pedal ka mag-aadjust, yun dadami pedal mo para macompensate yung gusto mong tone, you'll end up spending
and spending like me.

Up for this great man!

sir jimmy,

Your tone really starts from the guitar itself.

Up again. :-D
