I replaced the Shred 2.0 amp sims with LePou Legion and Le456, and SIR impulse reverb with the stock one from REAPER. The guitars use Guitar Rig 5 cabs, and the bass uses the Amplitube 3 bass amp and cab sim.

No EQ, except for the vocals kasi di bagay sa kanta yung raw vocals ko kelangan ng radyo effect  boses pekpek problems

I'm not familiar with mixing heavy guitars.  :-(

I'll stick with my criticism with the guitars. Di mo ako maaasahan sa bass guitars. Boosted ang low frequencies ng CR3.

- Mahina yun guitar track sa right channel. Kaunting angat sa volume. Then angat mo ng kaunti yun overall volume rhythm section.
Think of the old Paramore's or Yellow Card's rhythm section.

thank you sir! buti nabanggit nyo yung sa right channel. mas mahina yung pandinig ko sa right ear ko although di pa ako nakakapunta ng audiologist para ma measure talaga. I must have underestimated that. I'll try upping the gain more; that and a compressor and maybe a distortion effect before the amp sim  :)

You could try placing a TS type OD sim before the amp. It'll push the saturation but not over the edge.

thank you sir, subukan ko yan!

May EQ and compression na? Kung wala pa yun muna. Any stock plugin would do.

Rule no. 1:

Better, more expensive plugins are just more precise, and will only really work with more precise equipment and technique.

Kung pangit pa talaga ang tunog, nasa drums, mics, mic placement, at room yan.

In fact, kunin pangit ang tunog ng drums sa unprocessed overheads pa lang, may mali na sa drums, mic, mic placement, or room mo. Overheads are 80% of your sound, and the rest is majority bass and snare mics. In fact, old records only had one or two overheads and a bass drum mic.

Start with the tuning, kung maganda ang tuning, it's already half the battle. Controlled but not too dead drums are ideal.

Compression and EQ plugins are only there to tighten and focus the sound, and to exaggerate or cut certain frequencies to fit a genre, but rarely to improve the sound. Acoustic drums are one of the least forgiving instruments to record.

Pasensya na sir pero I feel like this is an exercise in futility.
nyo na ba macapture yun BEST POSSIBLE sound na makukuha nyo using the mics that you have.

If you start off with bad sounding recording no matter how expensive your gear is it will still sound bad.
If you have the patience and time for it,
test and test and listen well until you hear what you wanted to hear coming out of the speakers with what you hear with your head.

As for suggestions, I'd say stick with what you have, use your ears sir and sample drum fills that is
recorded with different mic placements, pick the one that sounds best.

Another is use a reference track.
Pili ka ng isang kanta na gustong gusto mo yun tunog ng drums and use that as a
reference everytime you try to record drum tracks.
Your goal is NOT TO COPY the way your reference track sounds like but at least come close to what you hear on the

Its a very trying process when it comes to tracking live drums so I strongly suggest that what you need is
more time experimenting with what you have instead of looking for that one plugin that will rule them all.

I hope this help sir, and yeah don't forget to have fun!

Paano ang connection ng drum mics with the M-Audio Delta 1010 LT?
And ilang tracks ang ginamit nyo sa DAW?
If you cannot record the drums into separate tracks, mahirap ayusin via plug-ins.
Easiest way is to record MIDI tracks via electric drums.

any suggestions mga master? thanks!

kung nagrerecord  kayo ng acoustic drums, walang magagawa bro yung AD at ez drummer kasi drum samples na yun triggerd by midi. Eq at compression lang talaga fix niyo diyan or rerecord the whole thing.

Free and legal, yung Lepou amp sims.

For other freeware plug-ins, This blog is a goldmine.

@newri can you post the sample recording on soundcloud or something?

Tanong ko lang po...does a DI box make a whole lotta difference sa final recording? Some web articles suggest that if you're just using your USB Audio interface for hobby/fun, DI box are not really necessary....thanks

Kailangan yung DI para magamit yung guitar signal sa mixing board kasi kailangan mag match yung impedance ng guitar signal at yung board. Pero yung mga USB interface may switch na for guitar input so di na kailangan.

Unless gagamit ka ng external preamp, kailangan mo na ng DI to the preamp then connect that to the interface.
