This is an offshoot of the "one and only guitarist that made you pick up the guitar" thread.Everytime we're ask on our favorite guitarists,songs or solos,riffs and tone, Slash or anything that can be associated with him was always near the top of our list. im glad to see his name grace the pages of our forum and i think its nice to know din what you guys think of slash. share nyo kahit ano opinion bout slash, how did he influenced youre playing, what you liked most about his playing, favorite slash solo or song,etc...any comments are welcome..

wen i was starting,all i wanted to learn is the intro riff to sweet child, i said kahit un lng matutunan ko ok nako..but wen i learned that riff it made me  want to learn all other solos by slash...

i think a great soloist's rythm playing is overlooked a lot which is sayang kasi they're as good as the solo din..

well, para sa akin. nobody plays the guitar as cool as slash.  maangas lang talaga. pero hindi mayabang.

haha! i know someone will create a thread here for slash fanatics and im proud to say im one of them! mejo obsessed na nga eh! first time i heard sweet child, i said i need to know the solo, sad to say hanggang intro lng natutunan ko.. busy msyado sa work. there was a time that i researched all the info i can find on the internet tungkol kay slash. his bio, equipments, guitars he used before and other trivias.. iba karisma nya when off/on the stage.. lalo na pag solo with the top hat at the same time smouldering his cigarrette! iba rin tunog nya! he has distinct sound that not comparable to any guitarists! patok lhat ng solo nya sa lahat ng music with guns/snakepit at velvet revolver!

hes on the top of my list of best guitarists ever!

I really like him coz he's a roots player d nakakasawa! Sobrang hindi cerebral ang playing at hayop sa pakiramdam may pagka laid back at napaka relaxed! mula nung elementary ako hangang ngayun pinapakinggan ko parin siya...

Bangas talaga to si Idol... the pants, the hair, the hat, the yosi, yung baby ng guitara niya na naka manipis na leather strap haha. Lupit pa ng stance niya habang nagsosolo, yung vertical na yung LP niya. Di ko pa rin kayang gawin hanggang ngayon haha

Siya yung isa sa mga guitarists na kaya mong kantahin mga solo niya na may matching air guitar and facial expression plus... i just love his tone. Others don't like it, but his is the clean tone and dirt tone that I really like hehe

Siya talaga nag BI sa akin bumili ng LP chaka gears in pursuit of his tone... in short, siya nagturo sa akin mag GAS haha

Incidentally the SD alnico pro II are so slash sweet when matched with the right guitar

not the most techinically proficient guitarist around, but definitely one of the best in terms of creating melodic solo ..compliments the song real well..

basta sa palagay inagawan ng intro riff ng sweetchild yung pwesto ng Smoke on the water intro riff sa most memorableand most played intro riff in rock history

i commend u sir hunk..preha tyo adik ke slash...at one point i keep on buying guitar mags basta me article or tabs related sa knya..sometimes kahit di sya ung ininterview pag namention ung name nya napapabili ako...

PS.  "knockin on heavens door" nga pala favorite solo ko ni slash.. kaya lang wala akong LP eh.. medyo weird tingnan sa ibby ko hehehe..
