OWNED! the only thing for sure: kung benta ng benta = may hinahanap na iba o bagong mga tunog para sa style of music niya na wala sa dating gear... practical din kasi di nagki-keep ng gear na hindi nagagamit sa tugtugan, so pwedeng limited ang budget or pwd rin mayaman, pihikan or OC lang.
Or hindi alam anong hahanapin at hindi makarinig
if you ask me, you can buy gear regularly as long as you use the d@mn thing...it doesn't make sense to say that you are looking for something and looking to get more tone but end up using the instrument as a showpiece at home. record, gig, jam - whatever - the only injustice to getting good gear is not using it at all.
