Ishokey po. :) I also shoot with a 30D but with the 40D around I might let go of Aloysious (my 30D :-D). Upgrade na ko siguro. Konting save na lang. I spent all my savings kasi sa '54 RI Fender Strat, eh.  :-D

i got mine too..x mas gift ko sa sarili ko hehehe.. mabigat na yung 5d at 3K $ plus.. i think the difference is the viewing screen which is bigger, 10.1 mega pixel yung 40d, at faster yung shot  6 FPS.. stock lens is 28-135mm.. i was looking at the nikon D80..pero made in Thailand eh..itong 40D e made in Japan.. 8-)

Congrats, bro! I still haven't bought a 40D though. :( Was about to but bought the 2.8L 24-70mm na lang-- para to save up for a new geetar!  :-D I'd be happy to own a 40D but would be happiest with a new Les Paul or Lucille.  :-D

man i'm sooo hyped about owning a 40d.   my 400d's sale is pending. so once that is sold, im gonna run at henry's right away and grab a 40d body. yehhhhhhhh :evil:

why sir, what is the difference of 40D that made in Japan and D80 that made

in thailand?

I am planning to get D80 pretty soon..

well sa PALAGAY ko lang mas matindi pa din ang quality control ng gawa sa japan kesa sa Thailand.. but who knows?? karamihan ng mga products ngayon e made in China na hehehe.. 8-)
ps
noon kasi sa TINGIN ko sa film based camera mas ok ang Nikon pero nang lumabas ang digital cameras mas ok ang Canon kesa sa Nikon.. just my two cents. 8-)

I see.. I just got home from mall of emirates and i looked for this nikon D80

Kinda expensive really but I planned to avail one.. But again, I'm thinking

of getting either nikon D40 or canon EOS 400D since I am just a beginner.

Have so much interest on photography though..

So sir do you suggest to get the canon 400D?

I need some advice.. Thank you

actually hindi ko pa masyado alam ang specs ng 400D pero kung ako sa iyo Cannon ang bibilin ko kasi malamang made in Japan yun.

I found out early that I'll stick to my 30D and save up for the new 5D. World class ang features. :-)

oo nga, para sa mga engot na katulad ko mas ok pa sa tingin ko ang 40D kesa sa 5D ( kahit na full frame cam ito) dahil mas madaling gamitin yung 40D saka mas madali yung pag operate lalo na sa mga taong ayaw magbasa ng manual at ayaw magdala ng flash. me mga settings na nagpapadali sa pagkuha ng pix at isa pa me preview screen ( live view) yun kaya kita mo kaagad yung pix na kalalabasan sa screen.  8-)

Wow. Nice. Im eyeing for 1000D. What do you guys think of it? Compared to d40/350D/400D? Since my problem with D40 is that almost all lenses do not allow AF.

Btw, i saw a 2nd hand canon 10D (without lens, but with charger, manual..) for only 13k. Actuations=5k+. Is it worth it?

The 10D is still a good camera, bro. Got get it. Magandang back up cam yan. Tawaran mo lang. Mga 10K para swabe naman yung deal.  :-D
