going back, sa mga psychiatrist, psychologist or dun sa mga galing sa loob (ng mandaluyong, if you know what i mean), mahal ba ang consultation or threatment?
-
Psychiatrist dapat... Kapag simple consultation sa mga Psychiatrists usually P400-P600. Pero kapag may kasamang therapy and evaluation, it may be on a minimum of P1,000/session.
Ooops!!! Nurse po kaya ko alam... :-D

Consider family/friends first. Then, a counselor. Then, a psychiatrist.

So, some consciousness of the need to consult means it's probably just massive sadness. Or baka hopelessness. Counselor muna ang lapitan, just because since counselors are known not to jump to prescribing medication agad. Yung counselor na ang bahala magrecommend kung kailangan mo ng gamot... in which case, he will refer you to a psychiatrist.
Although there's nothing wrong with going straight to a psychiatrist. They can function as counselors as well. Pero, existing ang danger na some psychiatrists won't delve too much on personal/social/emotional matters, and just go straight to prescribe medication. Fewer hours of consultation, more clients. I'm not saying prevalent ang ganitong mentality, pero existing siya. Better safe than sorry.

Nasa 5 hundred to 2K per session.

Mahal talaga psychotherapy.
The fact is a Psychiatrist can also you use the psychometric tools of a psychometrician, counselor or psychologist. May grey areas kasi dyan. If someone from our company seeks referral for this situation, ang binibigay namin sa Psychiatrist na. Why? redundant na din kasi yung some programs na dadaanan nya kung dadaanan pa sya sa psychometrician, counselor or psychologist. And even in a hospital scenario, most likely derecho na sa Psychiatrist yun.

From Wikipedia:
Psychiatrists are doctors of medicine who specialize in treating mental illness using the biomedical approach to mental disorders. Psychiatrists also go through training to conduct psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and/or cognitive behavioral therapy, but it is their medical training that differentiates them from other mental health professionals.

Nakakalungkot nga ano? I mean ginagawa talaga is shortcut. Not because yun ang tama but because of the limited financial resources, ganun ang nangyayari.

It depends..all you have to do is to consult a general physician first then he/she will refer you to psychologist or psychiatrist. I believe 500 pesos for first consultation for seeing a psychiatrist. psych will give you some medication and will ask you for a follow up visit after two weeks. :)
-
minsan you just need someone to talk to, katulad ng sa forum na ito
meron ding akong nakitang pwedeng mail-an: jo@samaritans.org- sumasagot yan, kausap lang
pero mas maganda pa rin talaga magpatingin

"Do pray a lot" and eat a lot of spices...
