Alam ko na karamihan dito gumagamit ng more than 1 guitar sa praise and worship. I'm using 2 (Jazzmaster, Strat), and planning to get 1 (Tele). Pero balak ko magfocus sa isang gitara na lang talaga, all in one ika-nga. hehe. Versatility, feel, tone, and..... looks. hahaha.
So ano dito? Solid Fender/Squire guitars lang ako, di ako ganun kahilig sa LP, or any Gibson/Epiphone type guitars.. :)
- Telecaster
- Stratocaster
- Jazzmaster
At bakit yun ang pinili nyo? :)

:cute:

Stratocaster - really versatile as said by Sir Ralph.
Jazzmaster - cool kasi offset (yeah) saka may pagka-distinct yung tone, in a good way.
Telecaster - simplistic but also in a good way. Gets the job done for worship music.
For me panalo kahit ano, pero kung pang-all around, my vote goes to the Stratocaster. With regard to Telecasters, IMO yung main disadvantage ng Tele over the other two guitars is the lack of tremolo bridge but Bigsby's might help compensate though di nga lang yata ganun ka-responsive sa Strat tremolo system.
Speaking of Bigsby's, you might want to try sir yung Squier VM Cabronita Tele with Bigsby since GAS naman po kayo sa Tele hehe :-)

Strat all the way, and for all the same reason mentioned, Its a very versatile axe, just have to hunt a well rounded strat.
-
It's hard to beat a good Strat (especially those 4th and 2nd switch position tones), but I've been quite satisfied with a PRS Custom 22, which can dish out a ton of good tones as well. A Tele is deceptively versatile also, if you know how to work that tone knob, and won't shy away from heavy requirements. :)

Agree on that sir Joel! =) 2nd and 4th ftw!
Strat all the way!

strat :)

Kung isang gitara lang talaga, hands down the Strat. It's not just that it's super versatile, but the tones you can get are pretty endless. pup switch pa lang ulam na eh, tapos galawin mo pa yung tone knobs.
I'd pick a tele, pero kung isa lang talaga at wala nang iba, strat, kahit ayoko ng strat. But give me a fat strat.
If the brand wasn't an issue though, Epiphone Wilshire (got to try one out, ayos).

Still go for a HSS Strat. Mas kumpleto sa tunog kesa sa traditional na sss strat
-
tele
-
Gibson les paul special jr. W/ p90 pickups in relic chestnut finish and mini-block inlays. My grail guitar.
-
For me.. i'm GAS-ing right now for a Line6 JTV. Perfect for my HD500... if you dont want to carry around those guitars.. this one is an option. :D
-
Dati strat ako pero this time Taylor T3 ako, yung fixed bridge. May tunog strat, tele. To a certain degree les paul. Ok din sa distortion at effects. Magaan pa.
-
Telecasters all the way. simple. effective. clean. and it can flat out rock.
But right now, I use my Gretsch 5420T almost all the time since it gives a new flavor and a different feel. I'm still learning a great deal from using hollowbodies and the type of tone they give.
-
sa stable ko ngayon..
the gibson Les paul special faded..and the spector bass...Ill sell everything except these two

edit: hahaha Gospel and Praise pala dito

strat! however, i noticed that strats tend to squeal (not the musical kind) when the strings are rusty. i guess i'm a big fan of the in-between sound for clean tones (p.u. selector @ 2 or 4).
O.T. i have my eye on some 24-fret fixed bridge guitar, but it has a hum-hum config. will its in-between (selector @ 2) sound half as good as a strat's/strat copy (bell-like, chimey, pristine, etc)?

I doubt it sir, iba talaga yung tunog ng sa strat. Kung sa chicken noodle soup, si HH parang Lucky Me, yung sa strat parang yung sa Knorr.

Splitting the coils will not give you the chime-y sound of a true single coil, although it my lift off the dark tone of the humbucker and provide you with a glassier output. So far i've tried splitting DM's EVO &Gravity Storm (turned out like quite a dud), and SD's SH-18 Among those three SH-18 yung angat yung single coil tone.

thanks man. i once had a van halen knock-off with seymour duncans, kaya lang JB model. To my ears, SD's sound more 'sensible' than DiMarzio's.
last OT question: for single coil purists, does this thing deliver what it promises or 'pwede na rin'?... http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/custom-shop/stratocaster/sl591_little_59/
