i would rather go for pinstripe cause it's more durable than encore. kahit na mura lang yung encore, kung di din naman tatagal, wala din...

Benny Grebb uses coated ambassadors as batter AND resonant head. Mas warm daw. hehehehe

parang nakita ko rin sa wikipedia, gamit din ni abe cunningham yung clear ambassadors both side ng drums. idl ko pa naman sa pagtono yun.hehe

gumamit ako ng REMO BLACK MAX sa snare ng friend ko! super tigas ng tunog! as in! pang marching snare kasi yung heads"kevlar + ARAMIC FIBER! napansin na namin na habang nagtutune kami lumalangitngit na yung lugs edi ito nah testing na! pero after ng 8 strokes ayun nagpitikan yung mga lugs haha nasira! natawa tuloy ako! pati sya natawa na lang! pareho kami naelibs sa tunog eh! haha di kinaya ang kevlar! almost maximum tension na ang nangyari! pati yung shell nawasak hahaha! NAPAPALA NG FAILED EXPERIMENT! P.S. yung hoop nagmukhang onion rings! balubaluktot

Is Remo Emperor Clear for the toms a good choice? I just ordered kay sir vinci kasi eh... it will arrived next week daw...

great choice bro! best heads for toms IMO, good full round sound with great attack, bright enough to cut through walls of guitars hehe! planning to get a full set myself!

I think I got lucky. Yung floor tom and bass drum ko Remo Encore ang heads (limited budget lang kasi nung binili ko sila), pero, 3 years na sila sakin buo parin yung tunog at wala pang punit!
