Title: DIY drum mutes

related to dun sa ginagawa kong electronic drums pero naisip ko lang na malaking tulong din to para hindi gaanong mainis mga kapitbahay natin. ayoko naman gumawa ng mesh head kasi masyadong matrabaho at hindi rin kasing durable ng regular head. gusto ko rin maretain yung tunay na feel ng mylar heads kahit electronic drums kaya ayaw ko basta na lang magconvert ng practice pad to trigger pad.

tagal ko pang naresearch kung pano ko babawasan yung tunog ng acoustic drums, o-rings lang pala ang sagot.

RUBBER O-RINGS

ginamit ko lang regular cutter with hoops as template. nagstart ako icut yung 13 tapos kinuha ko yung 10 sa loob ng 13 para tipid. ginamit ko naman yung 8" hoop para mabutas yung gitna ng 10. yung rubber nabibili sa divisoria for 200 per meter

eto naman practice pad na ginawa ko dati. naisip ko lang ipatong sa snare ko para wala din yung tunog.

problema ko na lang kung pano ko ikakabit sa bass drum na hindi gumagamit ng pandikit. suggestions are most welcome  :-D

duct tape/scotch tape or masking tape... velcro?... hmm, san ididikit yung velcro para dumikit yung pang mute? mag mumute yung drums pag sa head nakadikit yung velcro.. haha :lol:

tama nga pwde to para dun sa DIY e-drums mo  8-)

naisip ko na rin na velcro with double sided tape para sa bass drum pero maapektuhan nun yung tone ng acoustic sound e.

non-invasive sana tulad nung solution sa o-ring na ipapatong lang



wala ako vid cam e. sound clip siguro bukas.

pwede ba mag bend ng malaking paper clip. bend it till 90 degrees, then use a
Bulldog clip to clip it around the bass hoop. 3 may be enough. dapat may improvised na insert para di magasgas hoop mo.

suggestion lang po try nyo lang po i mute yung lower side ng bass drum, cut po kayo ng rubber ng mga 3/4 of a circle na size ng bass drum... suggestion lang po sana na gets nyo po ..... bale sa ilalim sya nakalagay sa harap ng chain ng peds....
anyway thanks din po sa idea.... Galing po!!!

velcro sa top part o-ring tapos connected sya sa basshoop. I hope that makes sense.

ayos to! laki ba yung nabawas sa volume? medyo malapit kasi yung mga bahay sa min. hirap din magpractice na nagpipigil  :-)

may mas madaling mute na ko ngayon tshirt/basahan over the head tapos gamitan mo ng mga paper clip sa hoop para hindi gumalaw

Thank you sir Peeves! :) Pero sir pano po kaya sa Bass Drum at Cymbals? Kung sa Toms madali lang mga basahan and paper clips eh.. Sa Snare naman pwede ng ipatong yung Practice Pad.. Bass Drum and Cymbals po kaya? Hehe.. Salamat po! Desperado na ko talaga eh.. Ang hirap mag ensayo pag alam mong may maiistorbo.. :-( :cry:

meron kasi ako nacanvas sa may shoe supply 180 yata yun 1meter x 1meter, un problem ko, lakas ng amoy, pero di naman mabaho, parang amoy goma hehe, post ko pag nakagawa ako ng akin!  :mrgreen:

shoe shop, tindahan ng swelas po :)
basta yun ang tindahan na amoy goma  :)
