How 'bout adjusting the height screws so that mas mababa yung pickup for the lower strings.. tapos mas mataas sa higher strings. :-)

Ever tried 500k pots?  It's supposed to be brighter as you go up in value (sorry, better ask someone who's tried).  I'd try that, or get a neck pickup with known bright characteristics.  That said, there's only so much you can do with pickups and electronics...  wood and construction pretty much dictate a huge chunk of your tone too.   :|

ok pickup heights matters.. the nearer the pickup from the string, the higher the volume, good for distortion, bassier tone, some disadvantages are sometimes pag mataas eh may tendency na ma-stuck yung string mo sa ilalim ng pickup/sumabit lalu na pag humbuckers, another eh minsan umuuntog na yung pick and some says that it lessens the sustain because the magnetic field on the pickups oposses the ringing of the string. may magnetic force na kumokontra dun sa pagring ng string..

on the other hand pag mababa yung height ng pickup sa string, mas lower yung output ng volume, its great for clean tones lalu na sa strat guitars.most problem naman pag ganito yung setup ng pickup eh yung imbalance sa string.. most guitars kasi eh naooverpower ng bass strings yung treble strings, pansin niyo na sometimes eh mahina yuhn High E-string niyo diba.. well with proper set up sa luthier eh maaayos po yun..

well in electronics, the higher the value of a the pot, the brighter the sound it can give..another trick you can do is try to INCLINE the height Setup ng pickup.. i use to do this trick kasi most of us palaging pantay yun both ends ng pick ups natin diba,, try to incline it..try mo na mas mataas dun sa trble side kaysa dun sa bass side.. even sa humbuckers na may adjustable pole pieces eh ginagawa ko din ito...
