K24/7 is one of the musical guests on this Sunday's episode of Y Speak. It will be aired on Sunday, September 10, 8pm on Studio 23.

Y Speak is a youth-oriented talk show, and they are celebrating their 2nd anniversary this September.

This Sunday's topic: Rock and Hiphop Music.

Actually, it's Rock vs. Hiphop... But music isn't really about competition.  8)

Musical Guests: Kapatid, Salbakuta, Juana, K24/7, Protein Shake, and Dice & K9.

Just an advisory...

I checked our newspaper's TV guide, and it says there that Y Speak will be aired at 7pm. Please check Studio 23 around 630-7pm. Alam naman natin ang local TV, sometimes they don't air on time anymore hehehe! Thanks!

Bitin talaga, bro.  Intro pa lang kami, nag-commercial break na kaagad.  Same thing happened with our co-hiphop artists' performances.  Siguro rocker yung mga TV editors.  Hehehe kidding!  :lol:

Just wanna add, regarding my stand on the rock & hiphop thing...  As long as it's great quality music, I'll dig it.  Have an open mind.  Listen to different kinds of music.  Be appreciative of different musical styles.  Do some music research.  Learn and understand.  Respect.  Peace.   8)

FYI... My band K24/7 is not a variety showband.  We exclusively do hiphop & r&b music, and that's our niche.  Just wanna make that clear, in case anybody's wondering.   8)

Kayo po ba yung dating Kindred Garden na kumanta ng "Pangako" and kayo din po ba yung nakakasama ni Roman Guevarra gaya ng maging guest sya sa Church namin sa Bulacan, ako ang nagmix nun (hehe, medyo bitin pa ang gamit namin nun) correct me po sir if I'm wrong. Greetings, dequi09!  Thanks for the kind words!  I sincerely appreciate it.  :D

Yup, ako yung drummer sa SM Marilao gig last year.  I joined K24/7 on March 2004.  Hindi ako yung drummer during the Kindred Garden "Pangako" days and during the Church gig in Bulacan... Si Russell Sison ang original drummer ng group.

Reminders lang... For this month of October, we're playing regularly at Mugen Bar & Resto in Metrowalk every Wednesday night, and at Tiendesitas every Friday night.

Every Wednesday night @ Mugen, we are performing back-to-back with reggae band Collie Herb.

Hey Jim!  Regarding Ian Tan... He's no longer K24/7's bassist.  He left last year to pursue session work.  He's sessioning with us right now because our current bassist RJ is still out due to his bike accident injury and recovery.  Ay grabe, Ian is one of the most hardworking persons I know.  He never runs out of rackets.  Hindi ata marunong magpahinga yung taong yan hehe!  Pero saludo ako sa kanya.  Masipag talaga.  Sure, I'll send him your regards. :)

Salamat bro Cookie!  I appreciate that.  :-)

Well, share ko lang... 3 years and 5 months na ako with K24/7, and still counting.  I was a part of a number of bands before I was invited to join K24/7.  I guess during my pre-K24/7 days, I was still in search for my place and/or my role in the music scene.  When I became K24/7's drummer, doon ko na-realize na fit ako sa banda na yon and for that style of music, which I grew to enjoy playing.  Syempre part din ng pagbabanda ang mga pagsubok at mga problema along the way.  But I can say that I'm pretty much happy to be a part of the group.  I enjoy being the drummer of K24/7, and sana tumagal pa kami as a group. 

Parang love and relationships rin ang pagbabanda.  We just need to find our right match. :-)
