Hello this is Macoy Manuel, drummer from the band SIN and Death by Stereo. Im also the sound engineer of Earbender Recording Studio. Well mostly I am self taught and I don't want to offend professional sound/recording engineers here but I don't know what else to call my job. However Im pretty confident that I can give you guys my best and the best that my studio can provide. The studio started about 2 years ago and i have recorded and produced more than 30 bands, most are in the underground metal / heavy music scene since I am a metalhead myself and I know a lot about the sound. Im also experienced in genres like pop, alternative, rnb, hiphop, etc. Im open for anything regarding sound production. The studio is pretty much a home-type studio as of now, the control room is not yet air-conditioned but the tracking room is. We are still saving up for a very pricey renovation. Nobody seems to mind since the music is our main concern anyway. Although we have modest rooms and equipment, I did found ways to maximize what we have to make it all worthwhile. When designing a studio I think you need to focus on quality. You need to be able to get the best acoustics from the space you have. If you set someone up in a bathroom there is going to be an echo effect on the sound. You need to have a quality enclosed area that can be used for any situation. Start with some quality egg shells and sound curtains (http://www.enoisecontrol.com/sound-curtains.html) and introduce some quality headphones and monitors. Any artist/artists will be thankful and come to you when recording if you advertise quality.

Not sure if I should post this here, but I'm a music production student at De La Salle College of St. Benilde and I'm looking for a studio where I can possibly do my OJT at and get some experience under my belt...
