Hahaha, d naman, mejo nag lie low ako sa pagtakbo after ng 42k ko nugn oct 2013. Hindi naman ako tumaba, pero mejo tumaas lang ung maintaining weight ko to 170..

but now, im back to 165.. hopefully maging 155 ako by the end of july..
kaya mo yan! enjoy magexcercise at tumakbo..

Hi Sir Tipepski, ano training nyo for 42k?? ako kasi pag tumatakbo pansin ko 2.5-3k non stop parang dun lang kaya ko. sa mga running enthusiast dyan, ano training nyo for stronger and longer stamina in running? thanks :D

di pako tumakbo lagpas ng 11k -->1hr16mins  :-D

pero ginagawa ko, conditioning talaga e (regular run on Saturdays)
 endurance run ditto sa lugar namin HILLy so pag uphill regular ang pace and rhythm ko, pag downhill na dyan nako may problema dahil sa may damage na tuhod ko
same rhythm smaller pace na ginagawa ko, then pag sa road naman, mas okay kung may running mate ka para maintained ang pacing mo at di ka mainip.
try mo kayang kalabitin baka tumunog...

hiatus ako tumakbo, 1 week na. hahah im so so guilty. Baka later this week, after ko makuha ung GPS watch ko, ill be back on running scene.

as part of my training, i just want to build endurance, im not a fast runner, steady lang..

mostly, 42k training are in 4months-6mos prep.. 4 mos, mejo hapit ka na nun.
right now, kakatapos ko lang mag 32k,

starting this thurs, upto 3rd week ng july, my plan is.

Monday - 10krun
Tuesday - 10krun
Wednesday- Rest (kain opkorse)
Thurs - 10k run
Friday 5k run
Saturday-21k
Sunday - rest (kain pwede rin inom ng bawal like sopdrinks)

Thats my own plan, to keep up, remember, these 10k run and 21k, hindi sya mabilis, steady jog lang yan, normal pace to develop my body. 10k runs are just my preparation for 21k run sa weekend. 5k run is to push myself (speed training)

if you think 10k is hard, nope.. 1 hour na takbo lang yan...

Wow grabe nga! hehe. Well ang gusto ko lang naman sa running is fitness and para healthy lang din. pero gusto ko rin umabot sa ganon kalayo, siguro 10-15k masaya na ako :)

di mo naranasan ung sumasakit ung tagiliran? sa lower right abdomen. sabi sa breathing daw. yun nga pala, pano dapat breathing? normal lang? inhale sa ilong exhale sa bibig? or sa bibig lang? maraming salamat :D sorry dami questions, tska ngayon lang ako naging active sa forums

haha dyan ako hirap sa diet!
sarap kasi and affordable ang food ditto!

1hr/10k every Saturday
shadow boxing every morning
may sit ups pa!

pero ambagal ng progress ko sa pag bawas ng timbang.

hehe, sobrang konti din kasi ng workout mo.

try 8 rounds shadow boxing (with intensity) ... 3 minutes, 1 minute rest - 5 days a week. IMO, mas mahirap mag shadow boxing since may tendency ka mag rest mode, although ang advantage dito is you can listen to music

then 10K run sa saturday

iba ang tempo ng 3k runs at 42k runs ... most of the time, you will be walking or "rest jogging." super important sa long distance runs is form ... oras na may mali ang form mo, your knees will pay for it. watch out for downhills, when you run 3K you are happy to see downhills, but when you run 21K or more, you will learn to curse it especially after you feel its effects.

as for "rest jogging" ito yung pinakamabagal na pace mo where you recover your wind. yun pinaka default speed mo.

to be honest, i dont think running long distance is a good exercise. it will kill your knees. may tao talaga na built for running, at karamihan sa atin, hindi para doon (im speaking in a long term perspective).

IMO, this is a crazy training routine, and i dont think you can do this for 3 years without injuring your knees (or well, less than 3 years). this kind of routine is only made for people who are born to run - good body type and proportion sa katawan.

I smoked also before, nararamdaman ko ung lungs ko, hindi makapag expand ng maiigi, so i stopped. hehhe smoke-free for 2 years na. ung iba, after running 42k, nagyoyosi sa finish line. dun ako natatawa eh.. mga idol.. Btw, lemme answer that bold questions

1. Nararamdaman ko rin yan papi, tao rin ako, hehehe, lalo na kapag, bumalik ako after a long rest. After 3-5k, sumasakit yan, its still a myth on breathing, or sa water daw, pero para sa akin, hindi lang sanay mo tumakbo after a long rest, sasakit tlaga sya, ganyan din ako, kahit tatakbo ako ng malayo, mga 15k, sumasakit na, and i walk. hindi bawal un. and the cure? Just press hard the part where it hurts, breathe slowly, walk slowly, for 2 mins. Matatangal yan:)

2. either way, i start breathing on nose.. tapos maya maya, on mouth naman. sometimes sabay.. dpende eh, wala pa ako sa gnaung level ung 4 steps per breathe, lol hahaha

IMO, this is a crazy training routine, and i dont think you can do this for 3 years without injuring your knees (or well, less than 3 years). this kind of routine is only made for people who are born to run - good body type and proportion sa katawan.

This was also my routine last april-may before running 32k. To be honest, kayang kaya sya, thats why Chi Running is developed. Injury free running, Physics is applied, and believe me, im a real believer on this discovery. And in fact, i ran 32k last June 1, to my surprise, no injuries. Calves or quads, shoulders or even back, wala. Ang importante lang sa ganitong training, dapat, fitted na tumakbo talaga - yes tama ka, proportion ang katawan, say ang BMI 25 and below, kaya buhatin ng katawan. Basta proper rest and recover (RICE) method.

one of my idol is Victor Ting (you can facebook him) he's doing 2168km in just 128 days and he's running like 16km per day. Not a speed type runner, but he endures in running, and oh by the way hes turning 70 y/o.

I lost almost 30 pounds in 3 months. I was looking at the pictures my friends tagged me and I kept on clicking "Don't show on my timeline" kasi antaba ko sa mga pics na yun. That was March. So what I did, I researched about programs to get ripped and that's what I exactly did. I didn't go on a strict diet pero di na ko nageextra rice and coke. I weighed myself at 184 pounds. I am 5'8" and that's slightly obese. Desidido talaga ako magpapayat so 5 days ako naggym minsan 6 days pa in a week. I took pictures before I started working out and I was really disappointed. This post is worthless without pics so here you go.

I don't run paps.. Sa taba kong ito palagay ko magte-tear yung mga knee joints ko if I do.. Bumalik lang ako sa boxing.. Hehe.. Need to be healthy na rin talaga, we're not getting any younger anymore.. Dapat na alagaan ang sarili.. Mahirap magpa-dialysis pagtanda o kaya magka-diabetes.. Baka yung mga kikitain naten sa pag gawa ng musika mapunta lang sa pagpapagamot imbes na sa ibang bagay :cry:

ako sir 3-4 times a week and sched sa gym then tuwing restday ko sa gym i do cardio(running/biking) for 30-45 min.
Yang 5-6 na session mo per week mjo tiring lalo kung heavy lifter ka..

Suggestion lang : join a group of people that are running/body building enthusiast so you could have encouragement, advices and mates during your exercise...if not possible find a buddy so hindi ka tamarin o mabored tska para may tagapilit ka if tinatamad ka.

very effective... :) i lost 10 pounds during my cutting phase for 1 month last year
doing intermittent fasting during my training..

and also try to subscribe to youtube gurus...
like the hodgetwins...they are very informative and hilarious   :lol:

Share ko lang guys yung experience ko...
At first inalis ko yung pag yoyosi ko, para lumakas ang resistensya ko. Dati hindi ko kaya tumakbo na matagal ngayon ngagawa ko na non-stop.
Then madalas 3x a week ako tumakatkbo after office sa ayala triangle, kahit ako lang mag isa, then importante may rest day intervals para makarecover yung body mo.
Wala naman akong strict diet basta hinay hinay lang, pag maram akong nakain yung araw na yun, dapat ma burn ko siya the other day. No softdrinks din more on water lang.
Then 1 year din ako nag run sali sa fun run etc, dun nag loose yung weight ko then, enroll naman sa gym after, circuit training naman.
Importante lang talaga yung DETERMINATION & DEDICATION sa sarili, kahit mag isa ka, magagawa natin yun ;-)
Dati i'm 215lbs,  now 165lbs na lang pero tuloy pa din ang workout. 4 yrs na kong smoke free
Medyo matagal ang result pero worth it naman talaga. :-)

hehehe tanggap ko naman po na baktong na ako for life, pero yung utong ko kasi ngayon parang mini-boobs, so yung may man boobs na nga ako, tapos hugis boobs pa yung utong mismo. ano po yung mga chest exercises na ginagawa nyo? parag pag push ups (wide) kasi yung kili-kili ko lang yung natotone kaya mas mukhang sagging man boobs.

Nice one sir barronster! Galing.. Tsaka tama yung key, Determination at Dedication. Talagang magagawa mo kahit mag isa ka basta meron ka nyan. Galing!

Pareho naman tayo ng problema sir sonicassault. Manboobs na ang hirap mag suot ng mga light colored shirt dahil nakaka-ilang. Most of the time black shirts or any dark colored para mukhang payat at hindi pansin gaano ang baktong. Pero may point nga rin naman ata si sir barronster, baka nga naman sexy para sa iba.. Hehehe

Tips naman for removing man boobs! :cry:
