HELLO DUBISTAS
first off, i wanna thank all you guys for the support you've been giving us through all these years we've been active in the music scene! it's been awhile since we last played a gig. most of you know the reason for that, it's because we're all in cebu right now...being busy writing new material for our new album. it's great that we're back home in cebu cuz we're able to spend some quality time with our families during our hiatus. it's been awhile that we've been in our home town for this long. for us it's a much needed breather.
i know you guys have noticed as well that i personally haven't been active in posting stuff online in a very looooong time. i'm really very sorry. i've been going through alot in my personal life and i'm usually very introverted when i get into my "writing mode". kunwari "artist" daw! hehehe! but the good thing is my writing is what i use for my release. most of my thoughts you'll all probably hear on the new songs we're making. this album is probabaly the most personal yet that i have written lyrics wise. semi auto-biographical in a sense. hehe! i just hope that alot of you will still be able to relate.
i bet alot of you are wondering what the new album will sound like. well in my opinion, lyrically it's gonna be definitely 100% ME, i've been writing lyrics that are definitely DIRECTLY related to what i've been going through since the "Embrace" album. NO metaphors, NO artsy fartsy [gooey brown stuff], just straight-up lyrics about experiences i've been going through. lyrically, it's the most honest i've ever written. Musically, the band as a whole have been jiving pretty well in the studio, in terms of ideas and direction. it's gonna be more melodic and groove based. not as "pop" as "Influence" and not as heavy and moody as "Embrace"....maybe we can say we are trying to make the new album sound like a good mix of both "influence" & "embrace".
we're working really hard to come out with an album that will be memorable to all you guys. ofcourse we don't wanna let you down. we're trying really hard to come out with a very honest and straight forward album. a more mature album, an album not dictated by the current trend in rock music. an album distinctly URBANDUB. an album that the band and the dubistas will surely be proud of.

hopefully by august we can start recording already and we hope for an october release. a good two years after "Embrace"! i really wanna thank all the dubistas that have stuck by us and supported us since the beginning! we hope that once the album comes out you guys will show the same support you never failed to give.
we are humbled, we are grateful, we are given purpose! daghang salamat! maraming salamat! thank you all soooo very much! we hope to see you all on the road very soon! God Bless!
