guys, tulong naman. labo nung les paul ko eh. may tunog yung neck pickup.. normal yung tunog.. pero yung bridge pickup ko, sobrang hina ng tunog. ganito.. pag naka clean, halos nde marinig.. tapos pag naka dist naman, OD tone and lumalabas na mejo tama lang ang volume.. tapos, ang gnawa ko, naka dist ako, tapos nasa neck pup, then switch sa bridge, nakarinig ako ng tunog na parang may ground. i resoldered two loose wires sa pots, ganun pa rin.. ano kaya ang problema? sa toggle switch kaya? or sa pup mismo? namamatay na lang ba basta ang pickup? hmmmm... btw, the pup is a stock bridge pup ng gibson lp studio. thanks guys.

me ohm meter ka ba? kung meron, check mo yung pickups kung me power...usually gibby humbuckers would measure round 12ohms...
kung ok sya, yung toggle switch nga.
i had the same issue with the Evo i bought from Zasam, akala ko patay yung pickup, kasi yung neck pup ok naman... yung toggle switch ko lang pala, nagpagod pa ako maginstall ulit ng ibang pickups.

UGH! wala akong tester or kahit anong tool that would test resistance and other stuff.. meron lang akong soldering iron. hehe. hmmm.. should i seek professional help pag ganito na? (wala rin akong alam sa toggle switch eh) thanks. :)

baka meron yung kapitbahay mo...should be a simple fix. at least malaman mo man lang kung patay yung pickups or hindi...mura lang ang toggle switch, pero yung pup mahal.

srv: sana tlga nde patay yung pup mismo.. ang lungkot naman pag ganun! pero may tunog pa rin naman na lumalabas kahit papano, un nga lang, sobrang hina :(

dapat ba sakto lang sa volume yung neck tsaka bridge pickup? i have a mismatched pair kasi, and mas mahina yung bridge ko, pero hindi naman to the point na hindi marinig...

@carabao: nagpa-install ako ng PUP's + rewire kay arie, 1k. 2 days lang, nakuha ko na ulit.

observation on some of my guitars mas malakas yung neck kaysa sa bridge pero di naman gaano masyado pero noticeable.
Maybe need to experiment on bridge heights.

yup. strings vibrate more widely over the neck pickup area, which is why lower output pickups are traditionally installed and height is decreased over there.

What year is your LP? What is the standard pickups (PAF, Alnico)? Where was it bought? Usually, guitars that shipped come in differently that what was ordered.

Fender has a habit of shipping guitars with different pick guards, tuners, etc. Gibson also but not as much. If it is still under warranty, you can return that guitar and have it replaced.

ang mahal naman... hehe .. lapit lang ako, ako na lang gawa, libre pa.

hmm i think thats an ok price for someone who knows what they are doing pero mas ok nga kung ikaw at libre :D

1998 yung year, yung pups, stock ata ng gibson lp studio. 490r(neck) and 498t(bridge) Alnico HB's. But i'm not sure about the pups a.. ayoko buksan eh, ntatakot ako. pero assuming that everything's stock, the pups i mentioned are the ones currently installed. i bought this second hand from a non-forum member. pero binili nya to sa US. he claims that this guitar has never been setupped and opened. may 8 years na rin cguro tong guitar, i think wala na rin warranty.
