I believe the musicians should dress accordingly. Bawal ang jeans, t shirts and rubber shoes, let us dress like it's a real professional gig.

OMG. Do I smell Beatle-cosplay? Like!

Hindi naman siguro to this extent. Ayaw ko lang kasi ng sobrang casual say parang nanggaling lang kung saan saan. What I mean is dress for the occasion.

may mga nasuggest na ba ang ibang mga banda?  if we could shuffle things a bit, i'd prefer that brokensauce gets the later-period stuff na madaming solo...para pasok sa forte ng gitarista namin.  i'd suggest we play "while my guitar gently weeps", "back in the USSR", possibly "come together"...and pwede kayang isingit ang "revolution"?  pero for sure gugustuhin naming tugtugin ang "i'm so tired".

maybe if we could hold a meeting before the event, like a month and a half at least prior to the event, all band representatives can meet para kami na lang ang pipili ng tutugtugin namin.

what do you guys think?   :-D

The All Starr Band will be playing 21 songs bro all in all, pwede mo sya hilain for 1 or 2 songs or I suggest pwede rin naman segurong All Starr na lang ang buong set 1 at kayo sa latter part total di pa naman ata kayo nag uumpisa mag ensayo.Three (3) times na kasi ng rehearse ang Rubber Souls bro despite of our hectic sked in our jobs and living on different far places, we already devoted precious time.

He can also join us bro in While my guitar..for the Riffs & second solo.
He can also join in your Garage Band. And Your Bird Can Sing, Revolution, Helter Skelter, Everybodys Got something To Hide except Me and My Monkey are good replacement for Lovely Rita & It's All Too Much.IMHO

Ang Sattelites nakita na nila line up nila at mag uumpisa na rin daw sila mag rehearse nag text ang vocalist nila sakin last sunday or monday.

You're right bro a Meeting is really important. Sir Bryan also suggested that. I think we should do it ASAP because we have other things to discuss like the Venue, Date of Final Rehearsal etc..

if it's okay, switch na lang kami ng set list...brokensauce gets the garage band's set, and vice versa.  i'll also discuss it with the guys on saturday, after the gig.   :-)  feeling ko mas gugustuhin nila yung set na naassign sa garage band, and i think the revolver/sgt. pepper's set would be a better fit for brokensauce.

hmmmm...saturdays?  let me see kung pwede ako this month.  alam ko wala akong ginagawa ng october 16, but october 9 and 23 are recording days for brokensauce.  oct. 9 is also tentative first practice day for the side band.  di rin pwede this saturday kasi may gig kami.

OT muna...hehe.   :-D  yup, album na yan, ETA early 2011.  tingnan natin pare...nasa 55-60% stage pa lang kami ng recording, with 6 songs out of a potential 11.

Tapos yon nga IMHO pwede pamalit ang Revolution, Helter Skelter, Everybodys Got Something to Hide Except for Me & my Monkey sa Lovely Rita at It's All Too Much.. Sabi mo nga better fitted sya dahil Metal Guitarist nga pala guitarist mo.

salamat, salamat.   :-D  it's going to be an indie release, btw.  still trying to go about how to distribute the album...may EP kami nung december 2008 pero puro mga katropa lang namin ang bumili...   :-(  but we'll cross the bridge when we get there.

brokensauce is the literal english translation of balisawsaw.  derived from a PM thread sa KKK, may nagtanong kung ano ang english ng balisawsaw, tapos sagot naman ni marzi "brokensauce", then "brokendip".  tawa ako ng tawa nung nakita ko yung thread, and i immediately thought that "brokensauce", despite the similarity in name to the established broken social scene, would make a good band name.

BTT, yung sa "i'm so tired" pala, can all three of us in brokensauce join the all starr band for old times' sake, only for that number?  sensya na sa kulit, but that song used to be in our set list when we were all in a previous band together...our vox/bassist is excited to sing it in the event.   :-D

otherwise i think i'm all good with the set lists for my respective bands.   i think we need more white album stuff in there...i'd go with "revolution" and "helter skelter" to replace "lovely rita" and "it's all too much"...

Kung ako tatanugin ok lang, I don't see a reason not to say yes. (Mas ok seguro before the Finale: Golden slumbers/ Carry That Weight/ The End para anjan na kayo sa stage aakyat na lang ang ibang performers after I'm So Tired.)

We can work it out

Good choice bro. kasi magkakalapit lang din naman mga albums na yan kasama, Magical Mystery Tour .. Mejo mahirap pagtapuin mga sked natin, i set na natin ang Oct. 16 first meeting, mean while Life Goes on with our respective rehearsals.. What do you think sir Bryan?

And may I suggest also, if pwede (kung pwede lang) Dec. 9(Fri) or 10 nalang para libre lahat dahil weekend.

So Ok, here's a rough draft of what's gonna happen:

This will be a family affair - pang general patronage ika nga. Kasi aside from entertaining the old guys, we are educating the young ones about the greatest rock band that ever existed. So let us cut the rock star attitude and this will be very friendly.

There will be spiels in between songs so that would facilitate the learning for the kids.

Kung sakali may naupahan nang lugar for the event, let us save a small space for memorabilia and collectables (records, cds, books, dolls, scotch tape boards - Beatles adhesive tape, old biscuits - naalala niyo pa ba yung beatles marie biscuits, DVDs, posters, comic books, instrument related ads and endorsements, etc...)

I belileve the musicians should dress accordingly. Bawal ang jeans, t shirts and rubber shoes, let us dress like it's a real professional gig.

Sa Food, I suggest pot luck, sana may mga PM members who can help out sa food and drinks.

Lastly, let us bring some of our kids, para malaman nila what are they being deprived of the stupid radio format we have now.

WE are now raising a generation of professional musicians who have never heard of the Beatles!

Slowly but surely I am raising my son with the music of The Beatles and he responded very well. He presently plays bass at school and guitar in church. When we watched Pete Best he can't wait to see us guys this December.

MOA or Makati Area..

this is a strange suggestion for someone from the south, pero mas gusto ko sa cubao expo.  we can hold the meeting at alan's grill...wag sa mogwai, mas madalas ako dun but i don't think it'll be conducive for this type of meeting.

kung sa MOA naman, masyadong matao, too many distractions.  makati, on the other hand...is a pretty big place, but i don't know of any locations with good enough ambiance and affordable food/drinks where we can discuss the event...

Let's make most of the time that we will be having, may I suggest let's make an Agenda, so we can discuss things more systematic.

Agenda:

1. Venue
2. Equipment (Musical Instruments, PAs, Audio & Video)
3. Performers for the Final number Golden Slumbers/ Carry That Weight/ The End
4. Time and date (final rehearsal/ briefing/ semi monthly updates)
5. Contingency Plan
6. Outfits
7. Committees or point persons

please add your concerns, so we can make this event succesful. thanks
