sir di rip off ang sex machineguns sa sex pistols

machineguns lang sila kasi mas malakas ang machineguns

as stated in Wiki pedia

Galneryus naman.. mejo nabaduyan na ako sa recent  album nila coz the vocalist is trying to sound american,.. di na talaga bagay.. but guitar chops are getting even better..

Loudness.. still so LOud.. we are covering soldier of fortune.. hirap nga lang ng tapping part nun solo..

We were dissecting J-Rock and what gives it its J-flavor. And it hit me...it's not so much the tune, because J-Rock goes all around. Even Carpenters tunes can be made J-Rock.

I think it's the syllabication. Because of their language, a song can be made to sound like J-Rock if you phrase your lines in single syllables with accents.

Why I even made a sample song...alang soundclip, but it goes something like...

Teei-nee-ra...ku-sha.....tee-nee-ra...nya-ku...tee-ra-han kah-mee...sa bu-ung  ga-bee

J-Rock is one of my favorite genres. very melodic :) most J-Rock drummers kind of lack dynamics though. puro power hitters..

aha.. marami akong Japanese tunes.. kaso Jmetal at rock sila.. magaling talaga si Syu from Animetal pa lang lupet na nya eh.. kumpleto ko yun 3 albums ng Galneryus saka all albums ng Animetal..

yun nga lang halos iisa ang beat ng drummers nila.. lalo sa Guilty Gear saka yun puro nga sila speed shreds.. rarely see a japanese guitarist na puro legato ang gamit..

i guess si Haru na yun lupet talaga nya  :-D

And did you know that Syu started from a very young age, he's around 20's in his current career. Lupet talaga! Sa L`arc-en-ciel good composition, galing din ng writing skills.

i dont know the names but i've transcribed a few j-pop/j-rock tunes...napansin ko lang ang kapal ng arrangements, daming instrumento, over the top talaga, walang minimal minimal 8-)

the thing about j-rock in the philippines is that... almost 99% of the listeners only know larc en ciel and gackt. nothing against those bands but i don't think they are the best.

Bands like Sex Machineguns, Loudness, X-Japan, Anthem, Seikima-2 la lang... kahit anong j-rock thread di ko pa narinig na na brought up... ung loudness malamang alam ng isang 80's hair metal/glam rock fan. pero ung mga hardcore anime/j-rock fans... ung mga kulang nalang palitan ung pangalan ng hapon... na mahilig mag cosplay at sa anime at feeling nila na hapon sila e hindi alam ung mga bandang to? hehehehe. wala lang. gusto ko lang malaman... what's with larc en ciel and gackt?

j-rock? i seriously don't know what the fuss is all about. as much as i love the japanese people and their culture, i just can't seem to appreciate this genre of music. it's all very cliche with the make-up and flashy guitars, which i find boring and tasteless. i guess the masses get pumped with "JAPANESE ARE COOL! THEY GAVE US MANGA, ANIME, SAMURAI! COOOOOOOL!!!" so i guess we're all brainwashed into thinking that J-ROCK must be cool too. unfortunately, i don't think that's the case. though there are numerous japanese musicians who are outstanding songcrafters, only a small handful of them would be from the j-rock genre. i personally prefer listening to filipino music. i seriously reckon that there are no better bass players in asia than filipinos. i guess we just have groove and flow? btw, larc en ciel? come on, people! larc en ciel, is a mockery of everything that is good in japanese music. the hit anime series BECK: mongolian chop squad has even made fun of them in "Belle Ame", Eiji's new band after Ryusuke's departure.

well for me i listen to alot of jrock/jpop artists. first interest ko was larc en ciel. then came x-japan, judy and mary, malice mizer, dir en grey, the pillows, yaida hitomi, the yellow monkeys, shiina ringo, tokyo ska paradise orchestra, bonnie pink, cocco, core of soul, the brilliant green, luna sea, pierrot, thee michelle gun elephant, morning musume/mini moni, shonen knife, cibbo mato, puffy ami yumi, janne da arc, do as infinity, going underground...

as of now, i'm concentrating on judy and mary songs... hirap lang kunin nung ibang riffs ni asanuma takuya..dalawa pa lang natatapos ko... sobakasu saka yung lover soul.. trip ko yung sanpomichi kaso di ko pa makuha ng tama... hehehe..  :-)
