Imagine a whole wall dedicated to scraps of papers and doodles lang. No frames - post its, resibo, scratch. fastfood table napkins, ha ha ha. Ang saya.

Recent stuff I did within the last 3-4 days..

Medyo hirap ako sa hands(maliban sa malupet na shading at coloring at iba pang anatomy stuff) so this one is like practice practisan


Tapos puro chibi/caricature na haha, ala eh dito talaga ata forte ko.. hehe.. muka din daw kasi akong chibi lolz...

My highschool classmate celebrating her birthday today.. this one medyo di chibi-anime, parang caricature yung nagawa ko ehehe..


And this one is for my best friend


I was quite happy kasi within the last 3 days continuous yung pag drawing ko ^_^

so I was in the subway the other day on my way to band rehearsal..tapos may nakasabay akong expat din na babae, na leasurely nagsketch sketch sa moleskin niya ng parang mga "heavy metal" art..lupit din..nakatayo siya habang naka headphones.. may lapis and eraser...

saya din makakita ng ganun..


naku kung sa pinas yan..for sure kung hindi sinita ng sekyu...hindi din makapagsketch sa dami ng tao sa MRT na bulok na..

How is drawing with paper and pencils different with using a computer?

Maybe I can draw better using a pc. LOL!

its easier to edit or get rid of mistakes on a tablet. with pencils, theres more control and easier for shading and details. i use both, but like the good old pencil and paper better.

In my case,I really worked hard for whatever you can see now. I liked to draw since I was a kid and almost everyday nagdo draw ako. Pinag aaralan ko yung mga styles, processes, paraan ng pagdraw at pagkulay hanggang ngayon. Observant ako sa lahat ng bagay, always thinking paano ko maido drawing ang mga bagay, perspective, colors, etc. I am working hard right now sa anatomy part, I really suck in that area, pati sa pagcolor. I still have a long way to go. I am the type of person kasi who has lots of ideas in mind, pero I need to work really hard to put it into fruition. Most of the time trial and error pa. Haha. Unlike those na effortless lang talaga. envy much haha.

ako im born into a family of artists, poets, painters and musician so I guess its "in the blood" pero syempre naniniwala din ako sa "nurture and nature".

altho aaminin ko nagsuffer significantly ang "freehand skills" ko simula nung advent of computer imaging technology.. way back nung bata ako I even make "comics" so that I can draw lang.. tuwang tuwa mga classmates ko nung elementary and college with all the things that I draw.. they even ask me sometimes to draw PORN.

anyways I can say na ang sketching skills ko ngayon eh 50% nalang ng kaya kong gawin nung bata pa ako.

I am more adept now in doing illustrations and graphics using gadgetry and software..

anyways just want to share yung mga doodles ko for my gf..





my lines are not that smooth anymore as my strokes are no longer solid unlike nung bata pa ako.. mas sanay na ako gumamit ngayon ng trackpad, mouse and tablet.

so ADVICE ko lang sa mga artist dyan.. WAG NYO PABABAYAAN ANG FREEHAND SKILLS NYO.. since ako nagsisi talaga ako bakit pinabayaan ko just because of technology.
