I remember this then-little known band called "The Haneps" featured on this very site, Philmusic.com. But in all honesty, though i found the name catchy, i never gave the band much attention. Anyway, so there I was just browsing through random videos on youtube looking for new OPM bands to listen to when i came across "The Haneps". "Cool, I figured it's prolly due time i listened to the band anyway", I thought. Then something funny happened. I checked out the title of one of the songs..."Cagayan". "Funny. I wonder if it's a cover of this old OPM pop song by popgun. Would've been cool if they did "Huwag" and "Bida" as well", I thought to myself.
I just found out that Popgun = The Haneps. And after a quick search here on the forums, "the haneps" thread turned up. I've often wondered what happened to Popgun. It's good to know that you guys actually kept going. I've always thought your band had so much potential. it's great that the remaining members of Popgun were able to continue as The Haneps and release an album.
I simply must listen to the album. I'm in Sydney, though. Any ideas?
