Title: Guitar Gear Goal 2013

Hi boys and girls!
Not really a GAS thing, GAS can be unrealistic, this is an actual list of items you INTEND to buy. I thought it would be fun to make an OFFICIAL list of MAJOR items we are targeting and a short note on why it is on your list.
I'll go first..
1. ZT Club - Very compact amp, half-stack in a box! i gig a lot and have been to gigs with crappy amps, crappy amps make your crappy playing sound 2 times crappier. lol this is #1 on my list. Used or Brand new, doesn't matter.
2. Wampler Tripple Wreck - Again, inflicted by my friends in the forums, "swak" sa tugtugan ko at pwede na pang stand alone pedal for rock / metal / hardcore. More than enough gain that i need. This should be Brand new.
3. Gilead Custom "chucksplorer" 7 string - Being a fan of pointy guitars, an explorer type axe is definitely my next target. I've always wanted a seven string, i currently own a Jackson Warrior and a Washburn V (my main axe at the moment) I intend to have it equipped with emg active p-ups, TOM bridge, all gold hardware, matte finish with bindings. I LOVE BINDINGS! It would probably look something like this..
4. Zoom G3 - I've heard a lot of good things about the g3, i plan to get this mainly for the modulation and looping features. I don't use modulation much since my music doesn't really need it, but as the saying goes, "ang mahalaga, meron ka". My friends Richard and Mark uses G3, muka namang happy sila, so I'm convinced. Preferably Used.
5. MXR MC 404 Wah (actually it could be any other wah, have no clue which one to get since i dont use wah's currently)- wah sounds cool on solos, i haven't tried one yet but i think its a good addition to any board. Ali of mass defect is a WAH-ABUSER, his licks sound awesome. I want to sound awesome too. :wave: Preferably used.
6. A DIY Pedaltrain type pedal board - I have aluminum scraps at home that used to be a temporary door, still trying to figure out how i can slice them up and screw them together (i am not really that good of a DIY-er). I currently have a flat wooden board, nadudumihan ako sa mga cables, so mas okay yung naitatago sa ilalim yung mga cables, masarap tignan.
There you go, i probably need 70-80k to achieve my list, not sure. Again this is more of a gear achievement reporting thread, para mainspire ang lahat na pag hirapan ang gear. I'll post updates kung ano man mabili ko, hehehe sana meron kahit isa o dalawa. :-\ kayo din dapat, update ang list pag may nabawas :wave:

thanks paps, currently using a korg ax1500g...love it pero it's starting to sound 'digital' for me. i want to start simple sana, i already have a vox 847 wah. siguro start ako to make is duuuurteeeh!!! :-D

i see, kamusta modulations ng ax1500g? nakagamit nako nyan years ago, nakalimutan o na eh, may looper ba yan? Go with the best dirt you can get, para isahan nalang ang bili! may nakita ako Peavey 6505 sa pcparkjapan cubao, 50k ata head and cab, but that was months ago.. i wonder if kaya ko ang 8 string riffing, masyado na ata makapal for me.

1.) Neunaber WET Stereo Reverb – Fell in love the first time I heard it. sounds pleasing to my ears
2.) ZT Club – power and portability.... light weight yet so loud. (same advantage mentioned by rtf_axeman)
3.) Mad Professor BLUEBIRD or Golden Cello - I like and I want whichever... Di ba ang mahalaga naman eh ..... ..

No Goals...para sakin ngayon kung ano lang dumating..
Pretty much satisfied with the guitars and gear I have now...Been wanting an AMT wah na maliit..kaso mukhang out of stock na dito so.. Im also waiting for the bigsby-vibramate-string spoiler set to arrive..baka next month pa yun..pang soup up ng Jag HH...retire ko nadin yung '51..pauwi ko nalang sigurong nakakalas..less kalat dito..
.I really need to find more jam- pals..para makatugtog at makapagpapawis..gearwise ok na naman..sobra sobra pa nga eh..
Yung mga purchases this year malamang by chance lang..kung may machambahang mura mura..go lang..not really Goals na talagang inaasam..

planning to build a decent medium pedalboard :) almost one yr din ako nastuck sa G3 and a dirt pedal setup :)
Flashback X4- check! -really missed my DL4, but this one had tons of cooler features :)
TC Hall of Fame/ BOSS RV5/ Hardwire Super Natural Reverb- Really going for an RV5 right now, parang naging standard na kasi yun Modulated reverb niya e :)
BOSS SD-1 ( gonna be my 4th SD-1) haha
new strat pickups :)
tingin ko swak na to ule for a semi ambient build. parang bumabalik lang ako sa setup ko date hehe a pedaltrain :)

Actually, if kukuha ako ng classic vibe, either magpapa build ako or squire. I have 2 guitars already na di ko naman nagagamit yung isa kaya I think GAS ko lang talaga yung classic vibe... oo naman. amoranto theater noong Dying Fetus. tapos MCS noong Decapitated. Didn't use a cab. HINDI BITIN. 1x12 Nuke Cannon! Dami pang mas malaki venue na ginamit ko siya. Counted na dito yung mga basketball court provincial gigs.

2. Speaker cab --- mejo ipagpapaliban gawa ng guitar. may working amp pa naman ako.. after ng guitar na siguro to..
3. '62 style Tele --- already saving up. budget ready na sa body and neck.. hardware and electronics na lang ang pagiipunan..
4. Phoebus PG-20 --- im really convinced by the demos.. just to have a acoustic guitar... GAS
4. quality cables --- nuff said...
5. overdrive/fuzz pedal --- next year nako magfofocus sa ibang klase ng pedals..

Anyways, magdadagdag ako sa goal list ko:

G3 talaga next target ko kunin after ng Pure Boost. usable na yung board ko pag andun na yun eh. sana may mid-year sale sila or something. pero mas ok sana kung used. :)

well for this year (towards the end perhaps 3rd or fourth quarter na after i pay some debts) 1. a tremolo (was eyeing a semaphore trem sana) or a nova modulator. 2. white Epiphone SG and that Goldea tube amp head from Guitar pusher
i was kinda leaning more on working with what i have na muna and to get most of my stuff in tip top shape (car and such)
kaya limited to 3 things na muna :D

Or thinking imodernize ko na lang yung standard with Dimarzio pickups and get the Custom Shop para covered na ako both vintage modern. Hirap ng walang pera haha.

@Rowley hehe pagdasal mo tumama tayo sa lotto para matupad na gear goal ko tsaka pagmodernize nung strat. pag walang pambili ng cs retain ko na lang muna stock yung standard. nagpraktis ako kahapon, itutube screamer ko na lang muna. hanggang April ko lang ilalagay sa classifieds yung strat. gorgeous grain and sound kasi. I'm kicking myself for giving in sa GAS. Pag wala na yung target ko, okay na ulit haha.
Parang wala ng mga american standard strats sa yupangco main. Sad. :cry:

Nice one! Try SX tele from JB Music, pang entry level pero maganda siya, pa setup mo na lang sa luthier, installan mo ng elixir nanoweb na string pwede kana mag gig hehe.

Tama, delay..sarap! sayang may nice DIY analog delay ako before na pwede ko sana benta ng mura..pinabigay ko nalang sa friend ko..

pedalboard flightcase di na kasi kasya sa luma kong board yung set up ko now stagg 60gar (1st week of june mabibili ko na yung dalawa na yan)
then volume pedal, and wah pero di ko pa alam kung ano and di pa sure baka di ko naman kasi talaga kailangan nyan at baka gusto ko lang maybe schecter c1 hellraiser glossy white pag naisipan kong palitan yung jackson rhoads ko. then kuntento na ako. sana :)

End-all OD pedal ko yung Wampler Dual Fusion. The Rectorizer is finally gonna go. :-( Now I'm just down to a 3-pedal setup. Tuner->Dual Fusion->T-Rex Reptile 2. Simplicity at its best. Might add a reverb pedal later on (and my Barber Tone Press if I can just remember where I put it...)

Wanna share my goals this year. :)
1. Fuzz Pedal (done, Fuzz Factory) - Fuzz tone = is the primary dirt tone I've been looking for. 2. Delay (done, Nova Repeater) - Well, a must-have for any rig. 3. Chorus (done, VS Liquid Chorus) - Another must-have for any rig. 4. Pedalgrill - Puro pedal, wala namang maayos na board. lol eto, must-have talaga. :) 5. ZT Lunchbox Jr. - It's portable and good sounding. Not too big for my apartment. Para makapagretiro na yung old amp ko. 6. More pedals! - compression, preamp, pedal tuner, another delay pedal. Well, icing for the cake sila.
Come 2014....

Line 6 Spider IV for me. Basta yung 212 version ha. It's all in there. I'm at the stage of practicality, convenience with tone that I like and works in a band setting in my GAS journey. I don't miss my Mesa Boogie F-30 at all and not much into tube amps as of the moment. Used it here during my wedding:
I heard the ZT Club 12 is really loud and good for pedals though.
What I also noticed is that even if your pickups are just usual decent stock pickups, the Spider IV takes it well and makes it sound good provided it's set up right. I like the Metal channel. The other gain channels are "digital" for me. Cleans are nice.
In the video, my 212 Spider IV was up against a 4x10 with 1x15 cabinets of the bassist.

Haven't tried the 1x12 75 watts though. It will work with small or bigger gigs. Just tweak loud at your room before you go on stage. Mag-iiba kasi eh. I''m lucky enough to be able to blast here at home without my neigbors complaining! Important yun tweaking at gig volumes at home IMO (or at a practice area). And per my experience with the 212, it sounds better louder. Parang dragon na bumubuga at sumusuntok hehe.

Wow, onga no. :lol: Well I guess it's not a big surprise considering he's a HUGE influence. Pero yung Suhr Standard, HSS yun diba? Tapos naka Ibanez S Prestige siya bago nun. Anyways, pansin ko mas trip ko talaga yung tone ng single coils for solo stuff eh. Di ko lang masyado nagugustuhan yung bridge Strat tone, kasi parang mahina, kaya Tele na lang.
Tsaka tinatamad ako lagi kunin yung trem bar sa case kapag nagp-practice ako. Kaya hardtail bridge na lang din. Hehe.

Pretty much satisfied with the guitars and gear I have now...Been wanting an AMT wah na maliit..kaso mukhang out of stock na dito so.. Im also waiting for the bigsby-vibramate-string spoiler set to arrive..baka next month pa yun..pang soup up ng Jag HH...retire ko nadin yung '51..pauwi ko nalang sigurong nakakalas..less kalat dito..
..gearwise ok na naman..sobra sobra pa nga eh..
Yung mga purchases this year malamang by chance lang..kung may machambahang mura mura..go lang..not really Goals na talagang inaasam..

1. Try to Sell off as much stuff as I could...especially most of my old 90's unused gear...to minimize clutter at home..and probably use some funds to upgrade key elements..

Hindi pa sir, at tsaka na yan hahaha. 2 watter micro cube lang talaga muna kahit 2nd hand, dumami bigla gastusin ko na nakapila ngayong 2nd half ng 2013 eh. Tsk dati nga goal ko sa pasko fender strat eh, lumiit nang lumiit! pero nabili ko na pedal na goal ko this year kaya oks na oks na.
Hahaha maybe next year na lang ang medyo bigger "gigging" amp. Practice amp lang sa ngayon, hindi ako ginaganahan magpractice eh, set na ako sa micro cube goal ko hehe

mas trip ko pa rin ang clean amp then dirt sa pedals. :)
For mga low to mid gain, eto rin gusto ko..
Pero pag yung mas high gain na talaga tapos mejo malakas na volume, mas maaappreaciate mo yung built in drive ng amp (kung maganda yung amp) kesa pedal.. :-)

No specific ODs in mind, but I've narrowed my choices to a Timmy (used to have a tim, pero nakalimutan ko na how the pedal sounded, lol), a POT, a Skreddy Screwdriver, and a Bearfoot Honey Beest. What do you guys think? I'm looking to get an OD na always on sana. :)

Well wont say that its the best od ive tried, but the euphoria side of the fusion is very dynamic, even when the drive is 3 oclock, i dont need to use the volume knob to go from clean to dirty or vice versa, didnt like the 2nd channel, its too dark for me, but if you stack them in a certain way which is its one of its strengths, it retains the openness of the euphoria's sound....if your into russ freeman, gambale....sige sama ko na si kotzen..( due to the euphoria side) this is the best pedal for you

Traded my guitar to a Fender CS Tele body with MIM neck(formerly owned by Jugs Jugueta of Itchyworms, then he sold it to JC Sebastian of Stickfiggas. Lastly, JC traded it to my guitar.)
I love how the MIM neck feels, and the tone is <3. I can go high gain using its stock single coil pups and not getting a lot of feedback and noise.

I started this year with a Fender jaguar HH then a Generic PRS looking OEM (got this because of the amp bundled with it), then an Epiphone Tom Delonge, Then another Fender Jaguar HH, then got a Fender Active Jazz Bass, then, a Gibson Lespaul Standard, then a Mexican Stratocaster... now left with the first jag, the Bass, the LP and the strat...luckily got to dispose my trusty squire '51 too.. if a nice tele comes along..or if I like the sunburst SG thats offered to me..I need to dispose a couple guitars again....
Id rather have no goals, as I like the surprise kung ano nalang mapadpad sa kamay ko without thinking about it too much...the more gigil ka sa isang bagay..mas nascare off yung law of attraction energies...
damn 2013 has been a wild ride!!! Learned a lot about different brands and builds..got to expeirnece chinese, japanese, and mexicans and usa...hahaha (parang tao lang) hahaha I shouldve done this sooner...sarap pala maexperience ibat ibang guitars...learned to let go of sentimentality and embrace the new stuff thats out there.. '13 has been great! 2014, level up naman uli! hahaha..mga custom shops naman, and historics..better to aspire more...hahaha nakanaman!!! ..reach for the stars sabi nga nila...well see..

Nagbabalak akong palitan yung Stagg 40 GA R (40 watts, solid state) ko ng 2x12 Solid State amp, nasa list ko ay Fender Champion 100 tsaka Fender Frontman 212R, nate-tempt akong palitan yung amp ko kasi yung tropa ko naghahanap ng bagong amp, tas okay sa kaniya na bilhin yung amp ko, dadagdagan ko nalang maaari ko nang palitan yun amp ko. :-D

Since DEC na at matatapos na ang taon, all i can say is happy ako sa acquisitions ko sa guitar and guitar gear goals ko for 2013 kasi lahat ng target GEAR ko eh nakuha ko :) even yung mga gear na di part ng list ko eh nakuha ko din kaya happy ang 2013 for me :) sana ganun din ang 2014 hahaha

Haha oo bro. Ngayon greco LP gamit ko medyo matagal na rin kasi humbuckers talaga gusto ko dati and jimmy page fan din, haha kaso hinahanap-hanap ko talaga ang tunog at feel ng strat iba talaga eh based sa mga nasubukan ko. hendrix and rhcp sound, strat! hahahhaha good luck satin!

Yun nga eh ang mura niya, budget-friendly na, kaso nagaalala lang ako kanina dahil sa laki niya, mabigat na at medyo hindi siya portable. Siguro mas babaan ko konti yung watts, from 40W na amp ko ngayon to 60W up to 80W. Orange Crush CR60C siguro, or Line 6 Spider IV 75. Basta new amp sana bago matapos ang 2013 haha, o baka ihabol ko na lang talaga sa 2014. :-D

I recently sold my zoom g1xn and currently switching to analog pedals. Medyo mahirap lang kasi gusto ko halos lahat ng effects ng nasa zoom may tig isang analog pedal. :-(

Never really had a "gear goal" for this year. In retrospect, however, I was able to move around some gear this year, which includes two (2) custom Strats from MicSis, a Fender Mustang III, some pedals, an LP, etc. I traded the first MicSis Custom to an amp with Doc Rick, and now I'm finishing on my second custom, patterned after a '57.
I guess for the remainder of this year, my only "goal" would be a decent strap as my main strap already broke last gig.
Here's to this year in gear. :) (Wow, that rhymed.)

..actually gusto ko pa magbawas ng gear..pedals medyo di na ako excited...amps lalo! no need to buy or GAS about them bilk bulky heavy items, acoustic guitar, masaya ako sa latest catch ko na yamaha..pero kung may bentang adik na martin or taylor why not..haha...siguro a true blue jazzmaster for electric guitar or a nice 5 string bass pang relyebo..pero gusto ko pa magbawas ng stuff talaga..
