bought an RCA DV1401 last night. sulit. linaw channels. perfect alternative sa abs cbn tv plus dahil sa mahal ng benta nila at very limited features yung box nila. di ko din kelangan yung mga exclusive channels ng abs so im happy and satisfied with the RCA.

anyone here using digital tv boxes for their tvs? share kayo kung may antenna mods kayong ginawa. and kung ano ang effective na external hd antenna sa unit nyo.

yup. its clear. malaki yung difference sa analog antenna signal.

sa sm appliance ako bumili. meron din sa ace hardware at electronics boutique(where i first saw it).

btw, DV1402 yung model name ng nabili ko at hindi DV1401. yung mas bago(DV1501) mas malakas daw sagap ng antenna nya dahil powered na.

went home, set it up, channel scan. malabo channels at parang low res ng youtube ang dating.

moved the tiny antenna close to the window. did a factory reset. rescan. boom! linaw. kaso wala lang talaga ABS CBN channels kahit yung free viewing na main channel di masagap sa area namin.

perhaps a little tweaking on the location of the antenna might work. i have a cdr king antenna lying around somewhere and i might try hooking it up later.

yung RCA units na yata pinaka sulit sa mga nakita ko dahil may built in media player sya supporting the commonly used file types(mp4, avi, mkv, etc.) and it has the capability to record the tv shows that you dont want to miss.

kelangan ba ng subscription for it to work? Sorry, naka-analog pa rin kami sa bahay.

no subscription and other fees required. just buy the unit, install, setup and youre good to go.

the product is best used with a LCD/LED tv. sulit yung picture clarity. para kang naka cignal na sat tv, wala lang talaga yung paid channels.

and ive seen buses na may abs cbn tv plus. dun pa lang malalaman mo na malawak yung coverage ng mga channels na nag digital na.

may mga nakita din ako na mods hooking up the unit to their cars entertainment system. feeling ko yung size nung rca yung pinaka sulit dun kahit yung antenna parang yung sa car radio lang.
