Artec Pickups

Hi guys. Just got myself a rails type strat pickup. Have a few questions. I'll be bringing the guitar to a luthier to get the pickups installed, do I still need to bring a wiring diagram for him? If I do, does anyone have one for this pickup? For position 4, I want the middle pickup on and the rails pickup split. And lastly, which pots should I replace? I've read that 500k pots are the best match for these. Do I have to replace all three? Sorry I really don't have a clue regarding this. TIA!

In your case, you should buy a super 5 way switch instead of the regular alpha 5 way switch. Thus, you can do the splitting you'd like to happen. Another option is using the regular 5 way switch but use a push and pull pot.

sa mga nakasubok na po, how do artec single coils compare to pickups like the ones on an sx strat or other generic strats? masarap ba sa tenga yung in-between neck and mid pickup position nya? yun lang kasi habol ko and ang budget ko ay pang artec lang.

low output ba talaga yung dual rails?bought one few months ago,installed it in bridge position of my strat.it was no match with the stock pickups.i got the artec closest to the strings and the stock pups almost leveled with the pickguard but still ganun pdn.and i lacks bass,really.did you guys enncounter the same problem?

Check the reading using a multimeter. High output dpat ang dualrails. Most likely sira ang isang rail niyan. Pag ang reading is paiba iba or dead yung isang rail isoli mo yan sira yan

have you tried these rails sir?last time i visited TMS natempt na naman ako bumili.this time ill be using it in neck position ng HSS guitar ko.

Yes tried them before and they are high output.
Alam ko ang avail lang sa tms ay pang bridge pup, but you can use it sa neck kaso bka masapawan ang h mo kung low output yung bridge at middle pup mo sir

i'm planning to change pick-ups sa isang project guitar na tele.

dual rails ang balak ko ilagay both in the neck and bridge position.

is this a bad idea?

May Dimarzio Tone Zone or D Sonic equivalent sounding pickup kaya ang Artec?

tumawag ako last friday lang sa TMS wala na yata sila parating na mga artec at entwistle na pickup pinauubos na lang nila tira stocks. sayang gusto ko pa naman i try ung pang 7 strings nila... tsk3x...

Is Artec HBB-XBB good for an alder body type guitar? I've heard that it has lot's of high frequency,.Kung ilalagay nyo ho bah siya sa Alder body would it make a good sound.? Naubusan na ho kasi ng DARKSTAR dito sa cebu, at ito na lng ang humbucker nah available for my washburn. Help please anyone?

Just got a used Artec dual rail for a Tele's bridge position. Would anyone know the color coding for this pickup? Not planning to do any coil tapping so I just need to know which leads need to be connected for a series wired humbucker. Salamat!

Recently wired one as well. I believe they followed Seymour Duncan's color code.

Red & white = soldered together and taped off/insulated
Black = hot, soldered to switch
Green = ground, soldered to ground with the bare wire

**If you get an out of phase sound with the neck pickup, just switch the black and green wires to get the correct phase.
