Darn! that sounds pricey hehe. Hey concerning his rig tho, has john ever commented on les pauls? I don't think I've ever seen him even get near one!

if I remember right, some of the fx's are around the 700$ price range hehehe

i'm gassing for a john mayer strat!

i tried one before at GC in el toro...it seems like a one trick pony, sounding extremely good direct to the amp...doing some hendrix covers...

i want one!

i heard it too. kaya ung ibang peeps, after buying a JM guitar, they change the pups. then sell the big dipper sa ebay.

Id beg to differ though. I love the pups. As with everything with this world, it's just my opinion and I guess the one who said it ain't all that must be looking for a certain tone from a strat. My strat with lace sensors doesn't give me the quack I want but I won't say it's bad cuz it's best at giving me a certain strat sound that has character. Maybe someone who may be looking for more bell like tones or others might not find the dipper pups great but I'd say it's awesome. It nailed the sound I was looking for.

here's the edgier, hendrix-esque side of JM. in as much as I wouldn't want to be struck by that impression (that there's a lot of reference to hendrix's antics and playing in this performance), it's hard not to. his "where the light is" rendition of "wait until tomorrow" is on many levels hendrix-like. after all, that's a hendrix cover.

si JM ang reason kung bakit ko nagugustuhan na ang blues ngayon

sa kanya ko rin napagtanto na wala talagang imposible sa music--pop and blues..kulang nalang pati shredding gawin na rin nya

kita nyo na ba new look nya ngayon?nung una akala ko di sya pero nung ngplay na sya you;ll know its him talaga..and when he talks din pala..

hehehe...

this is one thing i noticed with jm, around 2 years ago or when he is starting up with the blues in the scene he pulls off SRV-esque licks and stuff, but when i saw him at crossroads 2007 there is this sound or signature or whatever that he share with the man, jimi hendrix...which pulled me closer to listening more to jm, damn that article kinda struck me too...about what he is today is his failure to become jimi hendrix
