i dunno insan.. i think BS is good, but Continuum is still the best. Yun lang ang nararamdaman ko. Mas malalim ang pinanggalingan ng Continuum eh.

yup,,continuum is the shisells kumbaga ,,yung BS naman parang mixture of sort niya,,lalim in a way na,,dapat gets agad ng tao, ganun pagkakaintindi ko sa BS,,lalu na yung heartbreak warfare,,,,tska mas lumabas creative juicess ni john dito eh,,way ng mixing pati, yung tapon ng mismong licks mismo eh,,,crossroads palang napawow naku super different funky eh,,,i mean,,he can make it sound bluesy and all pero mas pinili niyang mag dwell sa funky style at creativeness nya ,,basta we love em,,,sama ka insan sa plan ni kuya nong ayus yun mapupuno natin yun,,dami kong maiinvite

Continuum is a result of his development from what he had freshly become from the previous albums & revelations. Battle Studies is what he is now (parang less of a 'sell out'). And as he mentioned from previous interviews, Battle Studies is sort of a "Confessional Album".

Personally, I enjoyed the latest album. ;-)

all the albums are great....each have their own character, and they all show how JM approaches songwriting during the different eras of his life.

But the best songwriting for me as the chord changes are more complex, in my opinion are all in the album "Room for Squares". Defining album nya yun

complex acoustic guitar parts( no such thing, body is a wonderland, why georgia)

Funk, and jazzy sounding chord changes (neon, city love)

bluesy soloing ( city love...especially live performances of this song--brilliant)

and then every song just containing melodies that make sense and then just brilliang lyrics.

Battle studies, Continuum, Heavier things are all just natural progressions of his maturity as a songwriting. I love them all, and he's just an awesome example to follow.

As far as Blues Guitarists that I'd like to emulate, he's up there with SRV, Hendrix, Clapton, BB king, Buddy Guy, Jonni Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Derek Trucks, Bramhall II... oh I almost forgot, Joe Bonamossa...:-)
guitarist telling the drummer what the intro to laklak was. caught on video.at binilangan pa ang drummer 1-2...1-2-3..lol
