Which is your preferred fretwire size?
-
It feels like a guitar is easier to play with jumbo frets.. kaya sa jumbo frets ako. :-)
-
+1 on jumbo frets. mas masarap mag bend hehe.
-
well i dont know ah.. pero sa experience ko, when the fret is wearing na, mas madali yata masintunado kapag jumbo frets compared pag nagwear na ang medium sized like sa mga nakakabit standard strats..

AFAIK pag naka-jumbo frets ka dapat light touch lang fretting hand mo madali talagang mag-sharp yung note pag madiin yung kamay mo sa fretboard.
-
i like skinny vintage frets..
jumbo frets make my finger tips hurt when sliding up/down the fretboard...
only drawback i experienced is that they wear out faster...
-
i guess, jumbo frets for me.
-
medium jumbo :-D
-
Medium jumbo rin for balance between intonation stability at shreddability.
-
-
JUMBO!
-
i have two guitars na jumbo at hindi jumbo ung size.....i like the jumbo coz it fits my hands just right...plays like butter and is really comfortable. on the other hand the guitar with non jumbo frets i also like....i can wrap my hand around the neck with minimal effort...i guess it depends on which song im playing or the mood im in hahaha..
-

-
kapag metal yung tugtugan ano ba may ok na size? advance and disadvantage?

mahahaba kasi daliri natin mga pinoy e.
-
vintage style frets for me... mas ramdam ko ang wood ng fret mas mahirap nga lang mag play i kinda like it that way though, makes me practice harder at madaling mag wear ang frets especially kapag über bending.
-
mahahaba kasi daliri natin mga pinoy e.
Sir burnthyfret
-
mumbo jumbo!!!
-
LAHAT NG KLASE NG FRET GUSTO KO  IBA-IBA KASI GITARA KO EH :-D PARANG CANDY LANG
-
i dont see any major difference between the two...

for flat radiused guitars, jumbo frets, tall and wide, like dunlop 6100 or the slightly taller jescar 57110, and i also have a preference for stainless steel frets.
for more traditional guitars like les pauls or teles, medium jumbo would be fine, just the right height to feel the fretboard without sacrificing ease of playability. hirap ako sa small vintage frets.
-
i have stewmac jumbos and medium wires still on stock :). for those needing refrets, pm nyo lang ako :)
-
I prefer tall frets, regardless whether its size is vintage or jumbo

Agree on this one. Although sa akin on more traditional guitars, I also prefer traditional vintage fretwire.
-
i like medium jumbo frets... they're perfect... jumbos are okay, and vintage frets are too small, but I dont have a problem playing them.. it just needs getting used to..
-
For me?
medium/tallest
just ask micsis if you want some installed for you.

-
jumbo hotdog.
-

Small frets are usually a tad taller than medium to jumbo frets. Pag masiyadong madiin ang pindot the notes go sharper than usual. If your notes go sharper than usual that could be the problem.
-
jumbo hotdog.
kaya mo ba to? *hip thrust*
-
6100 jumbo -tall & wide and or para medyo vintage feel yung 6105 -tall and and not too wide. I really need to try the SS frets.
-
^^ here's where i get my SS jumbos. he's got a few more in stock.

ako din! i have a sets reserved for my guitars that currently don't have them...yet.
I noticed a brighter tone. Very slight but i like it a lot! and bends are a lot easier as stainles steel frets are a lot more slippery :-D
-
Necro lang.
I realized that I can't stand jumbo frets... anghirap magslide
Vintage para sakin...
Ngayon sino kaya nag iinstall ng stainless steel. hehe

dunlop 6105 po...
vintage feel...
-
whenever I play jumbo its always a delight how comfy it is compared to the vintage ones, but when I go back to vintage thin frets, I love how you have to dig in and it inspire you to play more dynamic,
hehe i love both jumbo and vintage but prefer vintage at least for now
-
medium jumbo
-
medium jumbo, or medium vintage flats.
-
oo nga nakaka kalyo sa daliri. ok lang sana kung nareretain yung kalyo kaso natutuklap din after a week. tpos sasakit ulit sa balat. :(
-
Jumbo or XJ Frets .. :-D
-
vintage, mahirap pindutin, mahirap mag bend dahil sa finger to fretboard friction. pero madali mag chords, almost well intonated ever worn
kaya 6105 na lang para balance. hehehe!
-
medium wide..
I have a Japanese Epi LP and it has a medium wide frets, ang sarap ng feel, madali magbend, balanced.. iba.. =)
