^ Wow!  Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng Tama Artwood na may white marine pearl wrap.  Ganyan na siya originally?  Or na-wrap na lang siya later on?

Bro inigo...  Nice drums!  I just noticed your Pearl drum's badge.  It is indeed mis-spelled as "HAMMERD"!  Any idea or story on how Pearl overlooked that detail?  Maybe that would make it a more valuable drum.  :-)

Thanks. Both are ringy, being metal.

How the Ludwig sounds... you can check out this video:
...or in my video demo about my splash (ahem) that I'm selling, wherein I also play my Supra, here:

The Pearl, is like any brass shell snare, but a bit dryer, which gives it a woody sound. Sample clip of it in action here:

I like the Pearl better because it's sounds bigger (dahil sa depth). I'm leaning towards deeper snares nowadays. Looking into to getting one that's 10" deep.

I use the Pearl in almost all gigs, the Ludwig sa bahay or sa low-volume gigs. Or depends sa mood (hehe).

Weird enough, I think misspelling it is normal for this series.  I found this a Yahoo online auction:
http://img235.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/8/8/1/0/somanydj-img600x399-1198162003dsc_0003.jpg

Also, I think it was released only in Japan, which explains a lot about the misspell (haha).

i'm not a drummer, but i decided to buy one of those hi-end snares...

i don't know how good it is, but im sure its better than my pearl export steel snare *lol*

it is 5x14 and is made of brass... the seller also claims it is the closest DW gets to the ever famous black beauty.

it is still in transit though, so i don't know what noises it could make...
