Lennon-McCartney-Jagger?
« on: April 08, 2005, 12:23:19 PM »
I've downloaded this song "We love you" and credits says its The Rolling Stones w/ Lennon-McCartney. My question is, was there any instance that Lennon and McCa collaborated w/ the Stones? I know John and Keith Richards did collaborate in Dirty Mac (w/ Clapton and Mitch Mitchell).

I'm going to have refresh my Beatle history but I do recall reading that before the Stones hit it big, Lennon-McCartney wrote a single for them around 1964. This was before the Jagger-Richards songwriting tandem hit its stride with songs like Satisfaction in 1965 (which became part of the soundtrack of the Vietnam War).

You'll have to search Google for the details, but it's all out there.
